This is such a beautiful, fun car and a bargain at the price - It's also MOT & Tax exempt so a really usable car.A 1978 MGB Roadster with Sebring style front and rear fibreglass valence kit.I've got with the car a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate tracing the car's origin from original dealer, engine & chassis numbers and key numbers.I've also got receipt after receipt after receipt! There are so many invoices, MOT certificates and other literature to show how well this car has been maintained in its lifetime.Over the last 10 years this car has had high quality work carried out and has had the below.Full engine rebuild 1800cc with a 731 Piper Fast Road camLead free cylinder headHIF SU Carburettors with K&N pancake filters and internal Ram stacksBig bore MGO PECO Sports exhaust systemElectronic Ignition fitted to a Lucas 43D centrifugal distributorMGOC lowering kit, polyurethane bushes and F&R springs Spax rear shock absorbersEBC Greenstuff pads3/4 inch uprated anti-roll barAlloy Minator wheels with new standard size tyresUprated door and boot locksNew Double Duck canvas hoodChrome grille and period indicators All rusted panels repaired with new pattern partsNew inner and outer sills fitted to L & R sidesBoth doors rebuilt with new skinsBoth rear wings replacesRear inner arches replacedFull £7500 respray in Inca YellowWhole car Waxoiled and undersealedAs you can see so much work has been completed, it has been very well looked after and I've continued this into my ownership.I've been fighting rust that has become present since this massive overhaul but the underside, doors, sills, wings etc all remain in great quality. I've also fitted a new SU electronic fuel pump so no more points that could fail... as they did with meThe above restoration took Classic Car specialists over 500 hours!!This beautiful car was valued at £7000 over 10 years ago, prices for these cars have remained strong but are certainly on the rise with immaculate examples going for north of £15,000 and I think they are worth it.Along with the amazing paperwork I've got MOT certificates dating back to the early 80's, the car comes with such an amazing history and all the paperwork you'd expect to find with it.Now with a car like this you gather parts throughout the years and this is no exception. I've got brand new drilled and grooved discs, brand new EBC Greenstuff pads, and a large, full box of spares to go with it - I dare say if something did go it'll be in the box!The car has the Double Duck canvas hood AND a very very rare Sebring Targa Top - An incredible roof! Supplied through the MGOC in the early 80's I believe for a really short and limited run, the last of the roofs I saw sold went for £1000 itself (no car included!) both need a little bit of work but come on, are you really going to drive this in the rain? Please refer to the photos for the condition on specific parts. I am happy to answer any questions from serious buyers and genuine interest.Thank you for your time and please do get in touch, I can talk for hours about the car so if you've got a free day pick up the phone!
