This 1961 Panel Van restoration was completed in 2016. At that time the vehicle received the following: Engine/Transmission/Brakes:

 - Strong running 1600 Dual Port Motor w/many new parts.

- Solid transmission that stays in all gears/reverse

- Completely upgraded to 12 volt (voltage drop to original 6v wiper motor)

- All new Brake cylinders, shoes, soft lines and hard lines

- New master cylinder and reservoir

- New parking brake cables

- Stock front beam

- All new fuel lines

- New reserve fuel tap mechanism

- New Fuel Pump- New clutch and accelerator cables

- New switches/dome lights

-Rebuilt fresh air distribution system

-Working heat (not currently hooked up)

 Exterior:- Dove Blue single stage paint

- Brand new made in USA all metal bumpers and mounts

- 15" Bus wheels- Brand new tires

- Wolfgang front safari windows

- Original logo Sekurit door glass

- New 12 volt headlights

- Reproduction door handles w/keys

- All new window and door seals. Interior:

- Flat gray paint to mimic the original primer

- New interior panels made by Clara

- Reupholstered front seat (TMI Cover & New pads)

- New front floor mat.

 Since then the van received a new battery, wiper blades, German/braided fuel lines, fuel filter and has been in dry storage. The engine and tires have less than 500 miles since completed restoration. It was primarily used by a production company for film/ photo/video/ advertising.

 The van starts, stops, steers, tracks, shifts and drives as it should. The headlights, high beams, turn signals, brake lights, horn, speedometer and interior dome lights operate as they should. The interior is in exceptional condition. All of the metal is solid inside and out, floors, doors, dash and cargo area. The frame is straight and free of any through rust, holes, cracks or serious defects. Some light surface rust is present on the frame. All of the windows open, slide, shut and secure as they should. The door locks and ignition operate with the provided keys. The driver door, passenger door, rear hatch, gas door and engine hatch all open, close and secure as they should. The cargo doors operate independently and require a bit of care to close snuggly.

Known issues:-Windshield wipers operation is intermittent. The motor is set up to step down to 6 volt, but operation is hit or miss and needs attention.-Engine idle: The engine idle can be temperamental depending on use/ cold starts. Some carb adjustments may be needed to smooth out the idle depending on operating conditions. Tends to subside after driving.-The driver seat tracks properly, but the swivel feature is somewhat limited. This is not an original swivel seat to the van. There are no seat belts.

-Paint and finish imperfections: The gutters have some paint loss. There are a few small (smaller than a dime) bubble spots on the body. There are a couple of hairline cracks in the finish. There is light surface rust on the interior of the bumpers and on some of the chrome pieces. There is some rust beginning to form on the lower windshield sill (very small spot).
