Rover SD1 v8 manual Video link here to walk around video and engine noises!https://youtu.be/sZ1LDy76oEkStarted life as a 3500 v8 manual from factory in a non-sunroof shell.  Then extensively modified. The engine block is the original to the car as the numbers match the logbook.  But it has been extensively modified.  What exactly has been done and by who is unknown.  Paperwork found in the car suggests Rovercraft 4.9 litre v8 conversion.  What is known is that yesterday 8/10/21 it went on the rolling road and made 251 bhp and 281 lb/ft of torque. What i can see is:- Fitted with efi inlet manifold and plenum top from a 3.9 litre hotwire engine.- Cylinderheads are held on with ARP studs and nut kit- Massive tubular exhaust manifolds 4-2-1, rest of exhaust is shite and need throwing away- Custom high quality bespoke engine loom and engine run by standalone Motec ECU- Has steel rockers rather than the shitty alloy rover originals- Sounds amazing!!!Rover 5 speed manual gearboxThe front brakes are the larger Jaguar XJ12/XJS discs and AP calipers.  The rear drums have been modified with grooves cut in them.  Handbrake currently disconnected as it as it was binding on.Fitted with lowering springs.Rear has adjustable dampers, not sure about front.Polybushes fitted to front antiroll bar to subframe and antiroll bar to track control arm. Some polybushes at the rear too.Extremely cool 16" Compomotive alloy wheels.  Very rare now.  Tyres are goosed.Car originally had a brown interior and the dashboard and a, b, and c-pillar trims and brown carpet still there.  Car will come with a very decent Caramel interior, but no headlining or dashpod. The body shell is in remarkable condition.  It has had cavity wax protection from new, can see all the little plugs in the door shuts.  Perfect roof, very good scuttle, very good battery trays and front panels generally.  Sills and all four wheel arches are excellent and have been properly rolled/dressed for the bigger wheels.  Genuine series 1 tailgate in decent shape, and fitted with poly rear window.  Genuine rear rubber vitesse tailgate spoiler.  Some genius cut big holes in the bonnet but its otherwise a genuine series 1 bonnet with no rust!!!!  Perfect boot floor and rear tie down strap points on inner rear arches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!There is rust in the nearside turret at one place about 10p size.  The worst rust on the car is where the brake cylinder has leaked and rotted the bulkhead and wheel well at driver's side. But not too complicated to repair.  The top of the rear lamp panel has had it.  Needs to be cut out and a new top section added.  Several holes in the cabin floor where water has sat ontop of it.  The inner sills and heel boards and floor structure are very good. This car came to me as a total unknown and there is probably stuff ive missed, but in summary its a really really solid shell and with a very nice engine.Ive done a walkaround video which shows more detail.  I will add a link when its uploaded to youtube. Please no timewasters or dreamers.  Its sold as seen.Might be able to deliver in Kent/Sussex area but contact me first.
