I am offering for sale my 1965 Mustang Fastback. From what I have been able to gather, I am the third owner having had it for over 10 years. I understand the original owner was a NASA employee in Seattle and the second owner was a Billings, Montana person. When I acquired the car, it was in its original Wimbledon White color and had the blue Shelby stripes. My goal was to completely revamp the car to its original condition and make it a show car and that has been done. The engine is the original 289 A Code (4 barrel). To the best of my knowledge, the engine has never been modified and it runs great. It has the top loader 4 speed transmission. From what we have seen essentially all the parts to the car code out as original, including the rally gauge pack. The wheels are modern but replicate the original special-order ones that were available (the original wheels and wheel covers are available). In the restoration process, we completely stripped the car to bare metal and removed any bondo and replaced at least one small rust area with sheet metal. The complete exterior paint has been removed, primed, and repainted. The front floor panels and risers were replaced. The complete interior (carpeting, seat covers, headliner) were replaced with original specification material. The car is in exceptional condition and has only been driven a few miles (mostly local shows) since I have owned it. No expense was spared in restoring this car. Some who have looked at the car have said they believe it may be the original miles. The car has been stored in a climate-controlled environment since I have owned it and is ready for whatever purpose you may want. It is not easy to find this model any more that is in basically 100%original restored condition with no modifications. If that is what you are looking for this may be your special find.
