Here I have for sale my 1966 4.7l V8 Ford Mustang.

I bought this car just over a year ago with the intention of putting a few finishing touches on it to make it perfect.

Since then I have started to build a house and all my time and money has been redirected to this.

It is a cracking car that looks perfect at first glance but has a few bit that need attention to make it perfect.

It was resprayed, in its origional colour candy apple red, shortly before I bought it. for the most part it looks great but there are one or two cracks in the paint where its dried too quickly, the most noticable of which is on the roof ( Pictured ). It also has one scratch on the rear light surround (Pictured), this has only scratched the paint and the bodywork underneath is perfect.

The bodywork itself is excellent and any bad panels have been replaced with brand new ones.

The interior is brand new and wants for nothing.

The underside has been sprayed with bed liner by the previous owner (not very well). I would reccomend either redoing this or undersealing it instead.

The chassis is solid but has one thin part about the side of a credit card that could do with replacing at some point, its not an issue at the moment and doesnt affect its strength at all. The only other issue with the chassis is that someone has either caught a rock or jacked it up where it shouldnt have been at some point which has bent a small section. Again not an issue just needs sorting one day.

The engine runs perfectly and is very powerful, it has had some money spent on it and has electronic ignition, mickey thompson rocker covers, edelbrock AVS2 650 carb, alloy radiator. This is just what I can see from the outside, not sure about internals as the most of the paperwork has been lost when it was shipped, although i imagine if someones going to go to the effort of upgrading it then the internals have probably had an upgrade as well.

It has custom stainless headers leading to twin cherrybomb exhausts which sound awesome.

The front brakes have been upgraded to disks, from a granada and all the suspension / arms are brand new scott drake pro.

When I bough it the handling was awful and after some research it turns out the spindles had been swapped out for granada ones to accomidate the disk conversion but the sterring geometery wasnt right. Since then ive bough some custom spindles from texas and fitted them with new bearings and track rod ends which has fixed the awful steering. However i think the bushes on the steering rack probabaly need replaced, id polybush it personally, as the old didgy steering has worn them and there is a bit of play, this isnt much helped by the very wide tyres that are currently on it.

I bought this car with the intention of finishing its restoration but unfortunatley the house in whichs garage its kept is now being sold and ive nowhere else to keep it (already got a few projects on the go).

With my time being taken up by building a house for the next few years the sensible thing is for me to sell it as Im not going to have spare time or money for a while.

Having said this I do love the car and im not in a hurry to sell it as id also love to one day finish it.

The car looks great, I think its fairly priced and ive been as honest as I can, if youve any more questions id be happy to answer them.

Viewings can be arranged for buyers that are serious.

Thanks
