450bhp 4x4 Cosworth Powered Escort RS Turbo

Original 1990 Series 2 Ford Escort RS turbo.
Bodyshell altered to accommodate full Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 running gear.

Built during 2008.

Engine;
Newly built during 2012. to include the following;
Steel H-Beam rods.
Pocketed pistons.
Ported 4x4 head.
BD14 inlet cam.
Vernier adjustable cam pulleys.
T38 Turbo.
Siemens 83LB Injectors.
Level 8 ECU. Mapped by MSD.
Air injectors.
MSD engine bay loom (new).
MSD fuel pump & fan looms (new).
PRO ALLOY RS 500 style intercooler.
PRO ALLOY radiator.
PRO ALLOY turbo radiator & PAS oil cooler.
VIBRE TECH engine mounts.
10mm spacer plate on plenum.
Group N coil pack.
Remote oil filter.
Cone air filter.
Standard Cosworth fuel pump feeds the swirl pot.
Aeromotive main engine fuel pump.

Transmission;
Sierra Cosworth 4x4 gearbox & front/rear differentials.
AP paddle clutch.

Suspension/steering;
Sierra Cosworth 4x4 AVO coilovers.
Front Strut brace.
Power assisted steering

Brakes;
Sierra Cosworth 4x4 calipers.
Cross drilled & grooved discs.

Numbers;
0-60mph; in the threes's
0-100mph; approx 8 seconds
Best 1/4 mile so far; 11. 22seconds. Best terminal; 131mph. (all on budget tyres…)

Engine runs lovely. with no knocks. bangs or smoke. The big stainless exhaust is a bit noisy for my tastes though.

Gearbox wise. 3rd gear syncro is little grouchy when getting a wiggle on. Inevitable with this level of power through an MT75.  

Bodywork is nice. straight & presentable. She's not a perfect concourse show queen though. Was painted throughout to a fairly good standard in 2008. Has the odd mark & ding here & there. Structurally solid with no rot issues that I can see.

Please note. the rear lights are amber & NOT the smoked items in the pictures!! 

Interior is all intact. Seats are in good shape. Dash & interior plastics have one or two light scratches.
