For sale is my very old Mercedes 280 SE W108.

The Mercedes is a 1970 280 SE and the colour is a very very dark brown but every one thinks its black. the paint is in really nice condition for the year however there is some bits and bobs on the bodywork like some minor blistering here and there but nothing serious for a nearly 43 year old classic car. there has been a  period glass sun roof fitted at some point in time I guess in the seventies but it does not have leaks or whistles.

The chrome work is all in a really good condition and shines very well.

The dark maroon leather is all in perfect condition and is really comfortable with no rips tears or wear marks as are the carpets.

There is a period stereo system.

All the tyres are good with plenty of tread on them.

Brakes are all good. Chassis is all good and solid and well undersealed. The engine is absolutely perfect with full oil pressure.
The head was removed and valves reseated a few years back to enable it to run on unleaded fuel.

The transmission is all working great and as it should be.

The mileage on the car is 44. 500 miles which looks genuine with the corresponding documents (massive file full)

I took the car out on the weekend and did a hundred and fifty mile trip and it loved every minute of it and went fantastic.

All in all the car is in really good condition for the age and deserves a good home. it will give someone good service and I will guarantee you will get plenty of looks at her because you don't very often see one of these on the roads today and certainly not one in this pristine condition.

The car is for sale and I don't want stupid money for it but please don't come with stupid buy-it -now offers. please come and have a look at the car before you bid so you wont be disappointed and please don't come and kick tyres as this will be frowned upon.

I have got the car advertised elsewhere and obviously do reserve the right to remove it from auction. I am 100% certain the first to see will buy this unique and classic appreciating piece of German engineering.
