This vehicle is crafted in a similar style to the limited production run car produced to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Rolls-Royce association with North America which were named the Springfield Edition.

This is a member of the vastly improved, and so much more desired, last of the run 1997 model year Rolls Royce Silver Spur.

I believe this is one of only 361 of this model built for the world market between the years 1996 and 1998 (the model years to have).

This particular model is fitted with the legendary 300BHP Light Pressure Turbo engine which provides the car with a wonderful, comfortable and exhilarating ride.

All the above must make for an unbelievable short/long-term investment opportunity as they are such a beautiful car to both look at and drive, not to mention the glorious performance you get from that amazing 6750cc engine that could comfortably take you to the edge of the world and back in an armchair-like fashion.

Investors are sussing on to these opportunities, hence prices are on a very steep incline at present. Current prices of this model are anywhere between £18,000 - £45,000 for good quality examples.  Examples requiring improvements are still demanding (and fetching) top double figure sums.

I`ve driven this car down our local lanes and she really was a joy to behold, being both comfortable, smooth and powerful. What more does a man/woman need in a car.

The exterior is, in my opinion, in reasonably good order considering her age, with just a few minor body and paint imperfections here and there you `may` wish to attend to, or, like me, you would be more than happy just driving her around in her current perfectly acceptable guise.

The interior, likewise, is in particularly good usable condition without quite being perfect, and no doubt acceptable to all future potential custodians bar the pedantic.

So, in summary this is a perfect opportunity to buy one of these wonderful legendary classic cars at what can only be described as a once in a lifetime ridiculously low price due to the non-perfect paint/bodywork. As a heads-up this mainly consists of some light bubbling, a few scratches/marks/scuffs/imperfections here and there, and maybe the odd loose trim. Nothing at all drastic in my unqualified opinion. The only other point of interest is the occasional lighting up of the dash brake light, possibly just low on fluid as seemingly drives/stops OK.

Although I am not prepared to disclose it I am very keen to sell, hence I have set a very realistic and easily achievable reserve.

If you have a genuine interest/offer, and you are prepared to back it up, then I`m sure it could be accommodated between you, myself and eBay, but please do NOT ask me to give you a BIN price as your message will be politely ignored…

I would say this is a one-off opportunity to buy one at this price so please don`t miss out by pondering – life`s way too short...:-)

Good luck and thank you for looking…

Due to previous long-term storage I would still suggest a good going over and check of all vulnerable parts/items before returning her back to the open roads again. Although driving well on my recent jaunt with no noticeable unmentioned worthwhile faults, it is still for you to come and check all items and condition for yourself as all our cars are sold as seen, unchecked and unverified.

I hope I have covered most things but please feel free to ask as many questions as you like, as one would expect this on a car such as this.

Thank you…

PLEASE NOTE:

According to the previous owner all the above is accurate but if certain details are important to you then please verify these details for yourself `before` placing a bid as this is not an option once purchased and must be taken as hearsay as opposed to factual for the purpose of this sale.

All our cars are sold `as-seen` so please feel free to request a viewing `beforehand` to make sure you will be totally happy with your purchase once bought.

Although viewings are always welcomed (and encouraged) on all our vehicles, we do understand that this may not always be possible, especially in this current climate, hence, with this in mind if you have a serious proposition to put towards us `and` you have spoken to us on the phone, then we would be more than happy to provide you with a walk-around video of any of our classic cars. We are not a showroom outlet so we would have to take time out to do this for you, hence, this option is ONLY available to serious potential buyers.

We reserve the right to pursue any non-paying bidder for the full purchase price and/or any loss of earnings or any consequential costs through the County Courts. Although this is an action we do not embark upon lightly, the current rate of non-paying (or even contacting) winning bidders has become so disproportionate that we were forced to seek and take legal advice and action. We currently have a 100% success rate. Please be warned, any property you currently own may be at risk if you fail to complete on your legally binding contract.

Terms and Conditions

Winning bidder to pay £500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal or direct bank transfer within 24 hrs of auction/advert end. Deposit `MUST` be paid PRIOR to collection!! This request has been put in place purely to deter day-trippers, hagglers, re-negotiators and winning bidders who feel by their winning of the auction just puts them in the privileged position of having first refusal with the `option` to buy!! Storage of bought vehicles is free for 1 week and then charged @ £15 per day paid in advance. Due to the very nature of older vehicles and their vulnerability to long term storage, all vehicles are sold under the advisory and assumption that a comprehensive service and/or overhaul of all fluids, brakes, rubbers, running gear, clutches, pipes, mechanicals and electrics could possibly be needed – whether showing a current MOT certificate or not. For this reason it is advised that all vehicles are trailered home as opposed to driven. This is a live auction meaning all vehicles are here to be viewed and encouraged to be viewed and will be sold to the buyer under the mutually agreed terms at the point of viewing. Vehicles bought without prior agreement and without being viewed first are sold on a Trade basis. By bidding/winning/agreeing a sale on a vehicle prior to viewing you are agreeing to the following terms; As this is a live public auction of a second-hand item whereby the buyer is free to come and view, the purchaser (or their agent) is not dealing as a consumer for the purpose of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to any vehicle sold by the seller. Implied terms as to satisfactory quality/fitness for purpose do not apply to any transaction between the purchaser and the seller. All components on any vehicle sold by the seller is the purchaser's sole responsibility to make sure are safe to use to the end consumer. No liability or responsibility is accepted by the seller for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, expense, or any other claim arising from any fault with any component of any vehicle sold to the purchaser. All descriptions are for identification purposes only and the seller shall not be responsible for errors of description. All vehicles are sold as seen – spares and/or repair – no returns – no warranties. (Please note our complimentary 14 day Returns Policy) All vehicles remain the property of Classic Cars & Campers until paid for in full unless otherwise agreed. Classic Cars & Campers reserve the right to legally pursue any non-paying bidder/purchaser, or anyone else who refuses to adhere to our terms and conditions, if their actions are determined by us to be detrimental to our financial position. If you have any queries at all concerning any of the above please feel free to contact us for clarification (before bidding/winning).

Returns Policy

All our vehicles are available for viewings and examinations, hence, we are not an online mail order company and are not governed by The Distance Selling Regulation Act.

Notwithstanding the above, all vehicles bought from us that have been viewed prior to purchase, shall have an exception to our standard Terms and Conditions above and will come with a complimentary 14 day return policy unless otherwise mutually agreed on purchase.  All other vehicles are sold as per the terms and conditions laid out above and your offer of purchase is regarded as acceptance of these terms. Client to pay any return cost.
