Thank you for looking at this Auction. First let me start with this, look at the last picture in listing it will explain a lot. I'm selling this car for a good friend. He is an honest honorable Vietnam Veteran I've known over 30 years. Paul Pennington (his name) wants you to call or email him directly. Do NOT message me - I've never seen the car and live 100 miles away. You also cannot text him because he does not text. I know that is hard to believe but he is in his mid 70's and he just does not text. He embraces phone calls and emails. He will be happy to speak with you. Additionally I have a total of 28 pictures i can send if an email address can be provided. The owner (not me) would like you to inspect the car (or send someone) before bidding.1966 Pontiac Tempest. I hope the person who buys this 1966 Pontiac Tempest Convertible finishes it up right, because a lot of work has already been done. My son bought this car when he was home from Iraq and I was the one who had to go get it in Arkansas with a friend of mine. He went back to Iraq and then on to Afghanistan for a couple of years. I had the car worked on at a couple of shops. All the bad metal was cut out and replaced with new metal, complete new floor pans, and new truck pan. The car was taken off the frame, frame was blasted and repainted along with all new suspension parts put on. It also has a complete new dual exhaust system , new base\Clear paint, new convertible top, new dash pad, new front windshield, new power top motor (not hooked up), new seat upholstery and new radiator in the box in the back seat. My son wanted a power window kit put in that he had bought and that was a disaster. They work a little bit, but roll up windows need to be put back in the car. It needs new carpet and door panels on the car and you notice in the pictures the passenger door does not line up properly but can be corrected. The door shuts, but needs adjusted or shimmed I feel. The engine was completely rebuilt by our local machine shop engine builder. It is 326 cubic inch with a 2 speed power glide transmission. The car has less than 15 miles on it from moving on and off trailer or rollback to take it to a shop or move from metal building to metal building. The original unrestored bumper and bumper brackets come with the car. The wheels have been repainted and it has new headlight bezels. I do start the car occasionally to keep the fluids moving and the battery charged. The paint has nicks on it from being moved so much, so you could either repaint it the dark blue or choose another color if needed. I can't even count the amount of money we have put in this car over these years, but I do have a lot of receipts and pictures over the years during the process. Bill of Sale only here in the state of Alabama, but I also had the car registered for other states that are difficult with older cars. It stays pretty hot in metal buildings here in Alabama, but the cobwebs and mud daubers are free Car is located near Montgomery, Alabama. Car does not move until paid in full. please call or email with questions.
