Tudor Wheels are once again very proud to be offering a wonderful and rare Ford Model T.One of the greatest cars ever engineered and manufactured. 15 million of these amazing cars were produced from fine quality materials including vanadium steel over a 19 year period. The remains of this particular vehicle were abandoned in the early 50's and discovered as a wreck by the father of Owen Wynn Owen (who recovered and campaigned the Land Speed Record car BABS).The car is a very rare English built car with a 4 seat, 4 door body. We have checked over the car and have had it re-painted but have retained the wonderful 101 year patina of the amazingly rare and original body. The engine has been rebuilt on inspection and to a very good standard with aluminium pistons, 12 volt coil ignition, very recent WASP converted alternator, electric starter motor, auxiliary outside oil line and we have fitted new transmission bands. Of the many many hundreds of Ford Model T's I have had the privilege to be involved with over the years, this engine is so strong and responsive I had to remove it and check the internals to make sure it hadn't been drastically upgraded. It hadn't but is outrageously responsive and a pleasure to use.The wooden hickory wheels are all in great order, all wheel bearings have been cleaned and re-greased after inspection, the 4 tyres have all been replaced in 2019 with new inner tubes and the upholstery was also replaced about the same time.A good and honest 1919 black radiator Ford Model T open 4 seat Tourer with a nice and period canvas hood, a recently rebuilt radiator, dog bone rad cap and a ton of charm. DVLA in their own unique way have issued the V5C with a date of reg as 2019 instead of 1919 which I have left and it is correctly registered as a Historic Vehicle with correct engine and chassis numbers. It is backed up with an official dating letter confirming that the car was built at Ford's UK Manchester plant on 19/11/1919.The car comes with copies of pictures of it in 1958, 1959 and the body being refurbished in 2014.
