1966 Ford Mustang Coupe 'C' Code - original engine and 3 speed manual gearbox. Original two barrel carburettor.Brad New American Racing Torq Thrust Alloy Wheels, 15 x 7J and new tyresBuilt in Dearborn, Michigan in 1966 and shipped to Indianapolis for sale: the door tags show that it was built for the Indianapolis market and the car has stayed there all it's life until I imported it into the UK. I was told it is a 3 owner car, with the last owner keeping it for twenty years, only driving it to church or bringing it out of his garage on special occasions. Any inspection will show that the car has been cherished.The odometer reads 20001 miles and I'm told it has only rolled over once, so that's 120,000 miles in 55 years!Paintwork is very good as per the pictures. It has been resprayed at some point but overall the paint presents well.The chrome work is all present and is in excellent condition, window seals, including around the pop out quarter windows are all in good condition.Comes with it's original jack, original spare wheel and wheel spider. and it will also come with a tailored soft car cover and matching bag. It evens comes with a Mustang front wing/fender mat, so you can work on your 'stang without damaging the paintwork!Two sets of original Mustang keys are supplied with the car.It comes with the original owner's manual from 1966 - with the original owner's name and address on it, and purchase date. It even has some service history, which for a US car is unheard of as they don't tend to treasure paperwork like we do.The running strips down each side of the car weren't original Ford items but they are 'original' 1960's aftermarket kit. You can see how much the previous owners wanted to keep this car in tip - top condition. I guess they can be removed if they are not to your taste.Has recently had a new oil filter, new fuel pump, new distributor and HT leads, new air filter. Interior is immaculate, headlining is great, seats are all good, radio works. As far as I can ascertain all the gauges, lights etc work.Runs and drives really nicely, sounds amazing & fires up first time. The car is not registered for use in the UK so will be sold with it's US Title (their version of the V5c) and the NOVA paperwork from the HMRC to show that all the import taxes have been paid for.This is a truly wonderful car, and if I had more time I would keep it and get it on the road myself. It does require some minor welding to the floorpan however sadly I just do not have the time to do it. New parts are readily available and are very inexpensive. It requires a replacement LH rear frame rail which I will supply with the car (new from CJ Pony Parts in the US). It needs some patching up here and there on the floors but it has become clear that I just don't have time to do it myself.You can tell by the condition of the car that it has been cherished by it's previous owner, and if it doesn't achieve the right price it is definitely one I'd look to store until I have time to work on it, as any time and money that goes into this car will ultimately be a great investment due to the car's provenance.Everyone that has seen the car has said to me 'don't sell it - you'll never find one this good again', but needs must...Brand new set of 15 x 7 American Racing Torq Thrust & new tyres included with the saleI'm available most evenings and weekends for viewings, I'd prefer you to come and see the car before you offer if you're interested. Cash on collection or bank transfer preferred
