I have decided to sell my Mercedes L319This is one of only 2 RHD in the UK, so very rare indeedThese were manufactured by Mercedes from 1959 - 1969 This really is the precursor to the Sprinter of today. In terms of size its about the same size of the current sprinter LWBIt was originally fitted with a 45bhp diesel, however during its life it has been converted to a 3000 petrol engine, making it more useable. The engine is super smooth and makes the most desirable noise. Even has LPG fitted and runs and works fine on LPGMy intentions were to make it a Porsche service van to tow my Porsche to event (Goodwood members/Silverstone and the Revival) as during the 1960s both Mercedes and Porsche used these as rally/race service vehicles (Last couple of photos)This is a very very straight van and has just the most minor of bodywork corrosion and I mean very minor, so could be used as is, but really warrants being painted as it really would look phenomenal as a service/camper van These in RHD are not around so would make the centre of any Showroom or car collection. It's ULEZ/TAX and MoT exempt The classified price gives you an indication of the kind of figure i'm after, however open to sensible conversations as I would like it to go to the right owner for a fair price. Will need an element of re-commissioning before going back on the road, so being sold as a project.
