69,733Title:                      Clear "Michigan" Title (Titled as a 1968)Color:                    Red/Black interiorThe Triumph is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranties expressed or implied. The GT6 was purchased from the long time female Triumph enthusiast that bought it in Arizona in the mid 90's and drove it back to Michigan.  It was always garaged stored and was well cared for since her purchase.  She was "hands on" owner and did a lot of the routine maintenance on it through the years.  Other work had been performed at some of the local British repair shops.Back in the day, it was a daily driver and then ultimately became a weekend driver on the nicest of days.  The body  is in good condition as shown in the pictures.  It has older body work that is showing it's age.  The rocker panels and floors were repaired many years ago, and like many repairs back in the day, they were not done properly.  Although the rocker panels look good, the inner rocker panels have rusted and should be repaired properly at some point.  The floors are solid, but as noted, were not done properly.  Body shows evidence of older bondo repairs.  There are a few small places on the frame that show some rust as well.  Underside had been undercoated a few times over the years to preserve it.  The right rear quarter panel shows evidence of previous repairs/bubbling.  The panel fit is very good and the hood fits nicely as well.  The car was fitted with mirrors on the fenders which have since been removed.  There are painted plastic plugs to cover the mounting holes.  Doors fit and close nicely.  I believe the original color was white.Mechanically the GT6 is in good mechanical condition and can be driven while making improvements.  The 6 cylinder engine starts instantly at the turn of the key.  The engine sounds good and runs strong.  Transmission shifts fine, has some of the typical whines associated with vintage Brit transmissions.  Throw out bearing is noisy at idle.  Clutch has a little bit of judder when taking off, with a little finesse it's fine.  It does have some typical oil leaks.  Tachometer and temp gauge are not working.  I did check the temperature with a digital thermometer and it's running at normal temperature.  Charging system/battery are fine with no issues.About 6 years ago, the Triumph had some extensive work performed at the local British repair shop.  There are very few miles on the work listed below.Carburetors rebuiltNew U JointsTune upPertronix ignition systemOil pan gasketFront and rear sealsBrake MCRear brake Overhaul including wheel cylinders & hosesPinion seal replacedMore recent work:Has newer Sumitomo tiresHas new mechanical fuel pumpNewer starter motor.    The Interior had been redone some years ago and still looks very nice.  The original seats were redone and a side bolster was added to each seat which keeps you firmer in the seat.  The Triumph does not have seat belts.  Dash top has been recovered.  The wood dash was redone and looks very nice.  The headliner was replaced as were door and trunk seals.  Carpet was replaced with non original carpet.  It is still in good condition.  Door panels were redone as well.  The GT6 is fitted with period correct "Western Mag Wheels" with correct center caps.  The tires are newer Sumitomo's.**License plate not included.Any questions?  send a
