1989 Classic Mini Rover 998cc car project classic

For sale is a 998cc Classic mini which has had loads of money and time thrown at it over the last few years. Including all the paperwork and receipts with nearly all new parts and fixings (nut bolts and clips). It's had all his rust repaired so it's a rust-free example. To complete this build, it needs brake lines fitting, master cylinder and servo fitting, adjusting the hi-lo suspension, interior and painting the car.

The engine is rebuilt as below –

Classic Mini 998 A+ engine and box all complete as in photo Completely stripped and checked and rebuilt with all new parts as required

All new gaskets and seals.

All standard crank and bores.

Low mileage hence only polish crank and honed bores good bearings and rings

competition oil pump

Cylinder head de-coked and valves re-seated, copper type head gasket

New chain tensioner

Gearbox and diff stripped, changed centre bearing, all good bearings and synchros,

new clutch fitted

New ignition contacts,

plug leads and plugs and rotor

All timed up and ready to start with new oil filter

new water pump and thermostat housing

new oil press sender and temp sender

New clutch and diff seals, 2.9 diff

Main new parts as there is too many to list in the ad, but have receipts for countless amount of bushes, nuts, fixings and parts. Almost nearly all parts changed on car.

All the brake components, Braided front and rear lines, brake callipers, brake discs, brake discs and callipers fixings.

New front and rear subframes

Rebuilt engine as above.

New suspension with the hi-lo kit 

New ball joints

New bump stops, radius arms

New rubber cones

New Shock absorbers

New track rod ends

New top arms

New wheel bearings

New radiator with fan and new mountings

New carb with stage 1 induction

Full sportex system

Carbon fibre dashboard (not fitted yet)

Undersealed under the archs and under the car

The bodywork is pretty straight as got prepped for paint, just need some touching up on the rear arch after rust repairs.

Car is all primered exterior apart from roof. The engine bay is painted Audi Ibis White. We have also enough paint to paint the car included in the sale.
