Offered for sale is this very decent and complete MGA 1600 Roadster with front disc brakes. the car was purchased from the an estate in Alta Dena, California. the previous owner had started careful disassembly in his 2-car garage, so nothing was lost. His intentions were to complete a full, nut and bolt, body-off-the-chassis rebuild. Many new items were purchased along the way, which are included.

The body was removed from it's frame and is quite decent and solid, needing only repair to the lower dogleg, rear inner and outer sills area. A new apron panel has been purchased to be installed behind the grille. Body panels look generally nice and straight for restoration, with great headlight areas. New chromework purchased includes a full bumper set with 4 overriders, and a superb MK2 grille.

The car's frame is completely disassembled and looks excellent needing minimal repair. The 1600 engine and gearbox are totally together and turn nicely by hand. There is a new suspension kit, rear pair of springs, new brake shoes, new rear drums, brake cylinders, etc. and lots of other new items included. Nothing has been noted that is missing, and included is the driveshaft, rear axle, front and rear suspension, all brake components, steering gear, radiator, fuel tank, 5 original 1600 disc wheels, etc. all in generally very good shape.

All trim items are present including seats, gauges, switches, dashboard, top frame and side curtains, nice windshield glass and frame assembly, old interior and wood patterns.

We believe the car started as a 1500 mk1 and was upgraded to the 1600 mK 1 specification early in its life 

This is a great base for an easy restoration, the car has been set up to roll with the rear axle installed and a rolling dolly to the front to get it on a car trailer.
