I am pleased to offer on behalf of my business, Choice Classic Cars Limited, this rare car, combining nostalgia and tradition with the rarity of being a good surviving example of limited edition, for sale.  An original "Dad's car", she is a regular Ford Cortina Mk5 (spares are readily available) but came from the factory with Ford's legendary 3.0 litre V6 motor (no problem keeping up with modern traffic) and in Team Ford racing colours (which colours are still echoed today in Ford Racing Cars).   This car is solid and original with low mileage.  In the spirit of the legendary Ford "Savage", the Cortina TF XR6 series were produced by Ford South Africa to celebrate Team Ford's motor racing success in the early 1980's.   Only 500 were manufactured, all in Team Ford Blue and White racing colours, and this is a good surviving model with most having been terminally “parked”.  In addition to her Ford Motor Company sanctioned racing stripes, the car comes with its original, motor racing inspired, aluminium bonnet and door skins (sadly the boot lid was replaced with a steel one at some stage).  This is now a rare vehicle and is one of just a few (I know of only one other) in the UK.   This car comes with a Ford 3 Litre V6 Motor and 4 speed manual gearbox, and drives well with great performance from the V6 motor.   Interceptor wheel rims, and good paintwork and interior, it has 130,000 KMs (about 80,000 miles) on the clock.  MOT valid to 24 February 2022; the car is UK licenced & registered (the V5 is held).   The car is just back from a major service, when the carburettor was found to be faulty and was replaced with a new one.   A new petrol pump has been fitted and the petrol tank has been cleaned and resealed and the car is now starting and running perfectly!   Although offers failed to reach the previous reserve, the car attracted nearly 20,000 views and had more than 400 “followers” when it was last advertised for sale, to prove this car is unique and stands out from the rest.  Happy bidding to you all!
