Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 561 votes

I recently bought this car on Ebay.   I have found a 122 wagon I want to buy. so I am selling this one at a lose.   The previous seller described the car as below:

This is a 90% restored Volvo that needs nothing to be a daily driver. "This beautiful Volvo has been very well cared for. There has been lots of time and money invested into restoring this car. There is very little needed to complete the restoration. The previous owner was a service manager at a Volvo dealership and completed some of the work that's been done so far. I've done the rest myself. Here is a list of work that has been completed: New floor pans. Upgraded to a larger engine (b20). Rebuilt motor. Rebuilt carburetors. New clutch. New clutch slave cylinder. New rear main seal. New brake lines. Reupholstered seats. New carpet. Newer tires. New alternator. New battery. I know I'm missing some things. It needs headliner. Paint isn't perfect. There is rust on inner fender (does not affect structural integrity or appearance).  Nadaguides. com values the car at $8500. This is your chance to own this rare car at a discounted price. This vehicle is listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. ”

I think the previous owner was somewhat inaccurate. I have gone through the car and the following is a more valid appraisal.

1 – Yes. all the rebuilt and new stuff mentioned above is confirmed. - That's good !

2 – It was not “90% complete" when I got it.   However. I have improved it substantially.   I repaired the rust on the inner fender by cleaning the rust. coating it with inhibitor. and covering it with some sheet metal. primed and painted.   I fixed the radio – sounds good with 2 rear speakers.

3 – Paint – I would say it is a nice 20 footer.   Up close there are imperfections.      I fixed a couple of rust spots on the doors. although both doors have dings in them. And there are some other dings around the car. The sills are solid.   There are some bondo repairs.

3 – Temperature gauge  - the wire connecting it to the gauge was cut for some reason ( but car does NOT overheat. )

Good Stuff –

Engine runs strong.   Under carriage has no rust.   Frame has no rust. Brakes are good.

What it needs –

Doors work but need to be slammed to shut – some alignment needs to be done.

For some reason the choke cables are there. but not hooked up.   – though It starts just fine.

It is a 47 year old car that is a good daily driver. not a show car. I encourage an inspection.

I have described it as best I can.   Mileage listed is only what's on the odometer.   Real mileage is unknown. as

it has the rebuilt B20 engine in it.

I have priced it at fair price so I can buy the one I want to get. Questions – 845-389-2509 Len
