1956 Ford Fairlane

The 1956 Ford was not only built to be beautiful and perform well, but Ford was also heavily promoting their safety features that year.  The "Double Grip Door Latches" to prevent doors opening in the event of a crash and the "Deep Dish Safety Design Steering Wheel" are examples of these Lifeguard Designs.  The 1955-1956 Fords are now regarded as one of the most beautiful and collectible cars of the 1950s!  

Here we have a beautiful Fairlane Victoria 4 Door Sport Sedan that has been well loved by its past owners.  This would be a very nice car for all your cruise night events, local car shows, or just own/drive for fun!  This car will be a treasure for your family to own for years to come and a great investment too.

This Ford was a late production model built at the Dallas, TX plant on March 12,1956.  It was owned by a collector in the mid-west for many years before my parents acquired it.  The original 292 Y-Block V8 runs great.  At some point, someone substituted the teapot type carburetor for the 2 barrel carburetor it has now.  It starts and runs very well, idles smooth, and makes good power.  The transmission shifts and operates well.  It has working gauges and lights.  The car runs and starts with just a touch of a key, and with the PS and PB, it is easy to drive.  FYI - If you would like A/C added, it can be done for the next owner (please feel free to contact me for details and pricing).  

The car looks great inside and out.  The exterior paint is shiny with no major flaws to speak of.  All attractive chrome and stainless, which is a combination of restored and original.  The interior is also quite nice.  Engine bay and trunk are both clean and tidy.  The doors, hood, trunk all open and close nicely and all of the body panels line up very well.  Underneath the car looks good and solid as you would expect.  Overall, the car presents itself well and is nice enough to win a trophy at some of the car shows you attend.  This is a very rare and hard to find body style.  Nice colors too!
