As you can no doubt see from the photos above, this Mercedes SL looks absolutely stunning in arguably the best and only colour to have a R107 Mercedes SL in.

The overall shape of these R107s are an absolute beauty to behold, and guaranteed to turn heads wherever they go.

I bought this car recently from a wonderful local lady who sadly had recently lost her father.  Her father had all good intentions of restoring this classic R107 right back to her factory floor condition, but unfortunately his daughter (self-confessed) is not as equally matched in the classic car restoration field so decided to let this one go to someone that possibly is.

The exterior is, in my opinion, in reasonably OK condition considering her age. handful of body/paint defects and imperfections here and there but nothing that distracts majorly from her overall beauty.

The interior appears all there and functional and has the added bonus of the rear seat conversion upgrade, but in reality, it`s all maybe a little scruffy and worn in places.

I would summarise by saying this car looks, starts, runs and stops OK but could be improved upon in all departments.

I like my cars as they come, so after some general recommissioning work I would be content using her as-is without shame. This said, obviously my opinion is subjective to just me, yours could be totally different so I urge you to come and examine all aspects that you consider important to you BEFORE bidding, let alone winning. If you choose not to, which is obviously your prerogative, then she is being bought/sold as a total restoration, not fit for purpose.

As a heads-up to the above, and in addition to all previously described details, I can clearly see that the underside will need the assistance of a welder and would unlikely pass an MOT, although she is MOT Exempt qualifying anyway. I have not checked the soft-top but was informed it is/was definitely there, and there are various signs that this beautiful looking classic car was previously guised in a different (less desirable) colour scheme.

In summary I feel this is a perfect opportunity for someone to buy one of these wonderfulWant to buy this car?
