12 bolt w/ multi leaf springs, Muncie M21, Frame off restored only less than 4700 miles ago. This is one of the very first 1967 Camaros produced built at the GM Norwood plant in the 4th week of August 1966, VIN ending in 102515. It is a factory Borlero Red car per the trim tag decode and a factory bucket seat car per the trim tag. As stated, the car was frame off restored around 4,500 miles ago the odometer set to zero at time of the restoration. The frame and control arm suspension parts were sand blasted and powder coated during restoration. This was a very high end restoration including a very expensive 3 part paint system and great attention to detail--a lot of time and dollars spent to do this car. Special options such as power steering, tilt steering wheel, and the highly desirable stainless chamber pipe exhaust system installed by GM on some of the best 1st GEN Camaros.

The factory motor was replaced with a very desirable 302 first gen Camaro Z/28 engine consisting of 4-bolt main engine block, forged steel 3.000 Z/28 crankshaft, forged 11.0:1 seal power/trw pistons, windage tray, double hump heads (without accessory holes correct for 1967 Camaro) and winters "snowflake" high rise correct GM Z/28 intake manifold w/ 1967-1968 only cast iron water neck and a Holley dual feed carburetor. Note: The traditional 30/30 Z/28 302 camshaft was not untilized and a hot .480/.480 hydraulic lifter camshaft was installed at the time the 302 was assembled to avoid the troubles many have with the solid lifters. The Crane cam card shows peak power operating range 2800-5800, with valve float at 6500rpm.

The rear axle is 12 bolt 3.55 gear, and the transmission is a Muncie M21 Close ratio. This car has the very rare and hard to find GM tach in dash with the GM gauges on center console correct for 1967. iT also has the beautiful RPO N35 walnut steering wheel. This car was for car shows only and has been kept in climate controlled in door building under a car cover since restoration. It has redline tires on rally wheels, spare tire with cover and the horn does work! You likely will not find a better first Gen Camaro for under $50,000 and this one has some awesome options! Serious inquirers only. No hurry to sell! This car is pleasure to drive!!
