A stunning, low mileage low ownership example, previously sold by ourselves to a retired Naval officer.

This is a fabulous example which we initially purchased from the widow of the second owner and sold to retired Royal Navy Lieutenant Commander Alan Wright. Alan was a Royal Navy engineer and had previously rebuilt a 1934 Rolls Royce 20/25. Alan has loved owning the car for the last 4 years but is sadly forced to sell due to his advancing years and we were very happy to be offered first opportunity to buy the car back.

The car has an excellent service history with the fully stamped service book illustrating prior maintenance at 3471, 9771, 16270, 17529, 18976, 19529, 25314, 29646, 32752, 34830, 37259, 38630, 39603, 43418, 44743, 44788, 44801, 44951 and 46029 miles - current mileage 46686. In addition to the service book we have an A4 binder containing every previous MOT for the car, a collection of invoices and other pertinent documentation. Upon our initial purchase of the vehicle in 2017 we had the vehicle fully re-commissioned and serviced at marque specialists Bowling Ryan to include a full braking system overhaul and full mechanical service in readiness for re-sale. The car has since been serviced again during Alan's tenure and indeed Alan, as a highly skilled engineer, has himself enjoyed carrying out maintenance and repairs to the vehicle.

Purchased by an elderly local gentleman from the original owner in 1988 for the sum of £21,000, ownership transferred to the gentleman's widow upon his passing in 1992. The lady rarely drove the car but couldn't bring herself to sell it as it was her husbands pride and joy. For some years the car remained in the family's garage beneath a cotton car cover and was collected every year by a local garage for service and MOT with instructions to do "whatever was needed" - the MOT's for this period illustrate literally 1 or 2 miles covered between MOT tests ! The old lady sadly passed in 2017 and we were contacted by the surviving daughter, who was in her 60's, and asked to find a new owner for the car, eventually passing the car to Alan.

The car drives beautifully, in fact in Alan's own words it is probably the best Shadow he has had and Alan had these cars brand new. The bodywork and interior are truly exceptional and everything appears to be totally original throughout, Bowling Ryan commented that this is one of the better ones and it is just as good underneath as it appears on top. The car has always been garaged and the appearance bears testament to careful ownership.

Finished in glorious Walnut, very representative of the period and trimmed with magnolia hide and dark brown carpets which are protected by dark brown lambswool over rugs, the rear compartment further equipped with footstools and vanity mirrors, all in wonderful condition throughout with only the smallest blemishes to be found upon very close examination..

Period specification includes electric seats, split level climate control air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows, central locking, original radio and 8 track tape deck, fog lamps, headlamp wash wipe, 4 Avon turbospeed tyres etc. Everything just as it left the factory.

Supplied with original book pack complete with owners manuals, stamped service book, 4 keys etc.

This is a superb example of a late Shadow II with low ownership and low mileage, cars with this provenance very rarely come to market.

The car will be inspected and prepared by an independent specialist and supplied with a new MOT with no advisory notices.
