SMC Heritage are proud to present this incredibly special 1990 Mercedes 300E W124 saloon that has covered just 8,000 miles from new with just two previous keepers.


Built in August 1990 to UK Specification it was supplied new on Nov 28th 1990 by Country Services Ltd Mercedes of Haverfordwest to Mr Thomas. His new 300E automatic was finished in Pearl Blue metallic (348u) with contrasting Andorra blue (301) Sacco panels and Grey Cloth (068). Initially the vehicle was registered as H78GDE but he added the registration H2 JWT that pleasingly it still wears to this day on the original dealer supplied plates. In addition to the factory specification, he added Genuine Mercedes Over Mats, Mud Flaps and a Blaupunkt Cambridge Radio from the Dealer fit accessories catalogue. All of which are still present along with the original Mercedes care kit.

Provenance:

In impeccable condition and with the original keepers' tenure spanning 25 years and just 8000 miles covered this really is as good as it gets. The car is supplied with all booklets and instructions in the original leather folder. One of the keys still resides in the leather cover and there is even an unused Mercedes service 24h service sticker in the pack. The number plates are from the original supplying dealer and all the tools are in original roll. The Jack is unused and still bares its original warning label.

Exterior:

Evidently having always been garaged the Pearl blue paint is in fantastic order throughout with no signs of rust on the arches or the jacking points. The panel gaps and shut lines are perfect and the body is free from dents and the shine is deep and glossy. The stunning Pearl blue over Andorra blue Sacco panel finish is both elegant and timeless and really emphasis the lines of the w124. The factory correct 15 Hole Light Alloy wheels are in superb condition with matching continental tyres all round
The bumpers, lights, and badges are all correct and free from any damage or discoloration. The glass is all factory with the correct markings including the windscreen. All factory stickers are also present and undamaged as is the supplying dealer sticker in the rear window. This really is a cosseted time warp car



Interior:

The interior is a fabulous place to reside with factory electric sliding sunroof and leather wheel. The factory grey cloth interior (068) is in superb order and appointed with both centre armrest and rear headrests. The seats are in incredible condition. Totally free from any damage or wear to the bolsters, the fabric remains factory fresh and the springs taught and supple throughout. It would not be unreasonable to surmise that the rear seats may have never been sat in, their condition would certainly suggest so. The switchgear is all in superb order with no scratches or marking to the trim. Fitting with the incredible mileage the often tired, high contact areas of the cabin such as the leather steering wheel and gear knob show almost no signs of any use. The dash is unmarked and unfaded whilst the dials maintain their vibrant orange lume and the Blaupunkt audio is both present and fully functional. The carpets are perfect throughout having been protected from new by an original set of genuine Mercedes corded overmats. The boot area is effectively unused with absolutely no signs of loading damage or wear whatsoever and houses the unused emergency tool roll and jack.

Underneath and under the bonnet:

Perhaps even more remarkable than the incredible condition of the paint work and trim is the underside of the vehicle. It could easily have just rolled straight off the factory floor, with factory wax and markings still in place. The engine bay is equally impressive, totally standard and spotlessly clean it is an incredible testament to the care and gentle use this W124 has received
