Austin Healey Sprite

Thanks for looking at this 1 owner, prior to me, AH Sprite.

I have loads of history relating to earlier work done including ALL the floor being replaced. I would describe the underside as "rust free". Also included in the earlier works are:

2016

new bumper front and rear

voltage regulator

2017:

re-bored cylinder block

refaced cylinder block

new high compression pistons ( it sounds great )

new main bearing

thrust washers

re-ground crankshaft.

new timing chain

2019

new clutch

new floor pans

new brake and clutch master cylinders

More recently 2021 I've replaced the:

battery,

starter motor

distributor

HT leads and spark plugs

electronic ignition

carbs cleaned and balanced

new jack

The seats have been replaced in red leather covers, and are in good condition. Carpets likewise.

Runs on unleaded

A few pointers still to do:

a couple of the gauges don't work

the boot rubber seal needs replacing - just sourced so being fitted this week.

could probably do with new shocks all round to improve things but it's driving well as is.

I have the soft top roof frame, but no cover. Again easy to order up and only a few pound.

From the pictures the car looks great from 2 or 3 metres, on a close up look the paintwork could be a lot better. Personally I like as is, you can park in your garage with no fear of scratches or scuffs ruining the overall finish - but I must stress the paintwork was sprayed by a team of monkey's prior to my ownership so that says it all, don't come here and tell me the paintwork is a bit rough...it is!!

Performance on the road is just great, starts / stops as it should but the sound and stick-a-bility on the road is just great.

In summary this is a lovely little Sprite, the model "you want" arguably to follow the recent strong rises in Frogeyes in general and '60's cars in particular.  With a few weekends tidying there's a really nice car here with the hard/major work done or simply potter around as is. My plan if kept longer would be to remove the chrome bumpers and add 5 1/2J wheels all round, it'd look just great.

Only selling as only have room for 1 car in my garage, it has to go.

I have 100% feedback for a reason, I'm fair and honest, this car isn't a 100% concourse winner but it is a genuine sale  - the car was bought to potter around in but now has to go, demand for this model is strong and it won't be here for long. For those following you'll note I've just reduced the asking price by a further £500.

Please I ask again, no time wasters, all of them are here, I cannot believe the volume of people with nothing to do other than waste time with stupid cash offers.

The cars here, come and view. This car is a steal at 4495 - It won't be here for long as it's selling come what may so if your interested be quick, there's a deal to be done, repeat, ......it won't be here for ever.........space required it has to go.
