This example is the recipient of a recent repaint in the original Silver color and remains in beautiful shape with no stress cracks or spiderwebs showing. The fiberglass body is straight and true. Recently replaced is the burgundy leather interior that sports chrome trim, Stewart Warner gauges, a factory installed CB radio, power windows, and power locks. This Avanti even has a sunroof!

While the Studebaker company officially became defunct in 1966, a group of Studebaker enthusiasts partnered together to purchase the tooling and manufacturing equipment required to make the Avanti. Production continued under various company owners all of the way through the early 2000s. For 1982 the Avanti was built upon a Chevrolet Monte Carlo chassis and featured a fiberglass body.
