The BMW M5 is a classic wolf in sheep's clothing.  An unsuspicious looking 4 door sedan with a 5 Liter engine V8 pushing out 400 horse power.  This car is for the driving enthusiast that's in it for the experience. not someone who is looking to show off a flashy ride.  
The E39 M5 is believed to be the most iconic of the M5 series.  Serious enthusiasts can recognize the subtle differences that distinguish the M5 from the rest of the 5 series:  a more aggressive front spoiler. more aerodynamic dual mirrors. and the tiny spoiler on the trunk lid.  But it's really the 18" double spoked chrome shadow wheels. 4 stainless steel tail pipes. an of course the ///M5 badge that really give the game away.
