1999 Porsche Boxster

For sale. a 1999 Porsche Boxster. 5 speed manual. low miles. in good mechanical shape. This is a cheap beater Porsche - a great first sports car to get into if you want something quicker and cool than a Miata. but still affordable. The car drives well and is reliable. but is mostly a good weather car. and isn't in amazing cosmetic shape. It looks great from 10 feet though. The A/C works perfectly and blows very cold. a requirement here in Florida. This would make a perfect autocross car! $7. 00 or best offer. 4 owners to my knowledge. I bought it from an older man in New Smyrna Beach. who put 10k miles in 4 years on it. Florida car to my knowledge. Always garaged in Brevard. Clear Florida title in hand. The good:

Low mileage (under 89k). 1999 Porsche Boxster. Black top. black paint. black interior. black rims. 5 speed manual. Drives awesome. and pretty quick. Perfect car for cruising around with the top down. Car has a trunk and a frunk for storage! Full tool kit and assorted parts. great new brakes! 2 sets of original keys.

The bad:

Convertible top has been converted to manual. Before. the top was very fickle and would often not work. Now you just have to get out of the car to move the top up or down.

Windows usually don't roll all the way up when the top is up. This means the car never creates a seal. and yes. the interior would get wet. This was never a huge issue for me. since I work from home and have a second car. The issue is some microswitches in the car - the car thinks the top is in the process of going down when it's up. so it lets the windows index.

Body isn't in great shape. Dings. paint scrapes (front passenger side has one). etc. It is not a great looking Boxster. This is why I called it my cheap beater Porsche.

Rear “window” on the convertible top is yellowed. like most of them. It's not a glass window. it's vinyl or plastic or something. Basically this car is only fun to drive with the top down. so that's what I did.

Dash is cracked. normal on the black interior Boxsters.

The good (new parts):

Aftermarket Sony radio with single CD player and aux cable

I also have a cigarette lighter USB splitter thing with a bluetooth dongle plugged in. so the stereo will play audio and has a mic over Bluetooth. Pretty useful.

Fondmetal 9GR 18” Italian rims - black with some paint chipped off. Some people love them. some people hate them.

When bought: 85k miles - 9. 2016

New tires

Replaced all tail light bulbs - $35

Converted top to manual

New wiper blades / RainX - $50

Replaced headlight switch so that lights turn on everytime - $50

New GT3 brake air inducts (just feed more air into the brakes than stock air inducts)

New brake pads

Porsche logo installed on calipers.

New caliper bolts

Comes with original set of Porsche tools. spare tire. owner's manual. assorted parts for it.

Also has a set of red floormats. in addition to the stock black ones.

As you can see. I didn't drive this too much. and only in good weather. It did make a few trips to Orlando and one to Tampa (top down the whole trip!). Car is located in the Turkey Creek area of Palm Bay. FL. Flexible on showings. since I can work from home.

Also notice it has a  Boxster S logo on the back. It is NOT a Boxster S -- a previous owner put that on. I was going to take it off. but the paint looks to be a different color under it. so I didn't bother. This is just your base model. 2. 5L V6 Boxster with a 5 speed manual.
