Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this low mileage 1986 Mercedes 560SL is excellent condition. The market on the 560SL is absolutely red hot right now and this example is priced to sell. Very low mileage and original examples of the R107 Mercedes SL exceptionally difficult to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. There is copy of the AutoCheck report on this car pictured below. It it totally clean and shows no accident history with only 3 owners. This 560SL is an original California car that was sold new in Oakland. CA. The low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car. but also the clear Ohio title. pictured below. showing the mileage as "Actual. "

This 560SL looks outstanding. runs great. and is and awesome driver. It comes with both the soft-top and auxiliary hardtop. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mercedes that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come. The car comes with the original owners manual. steel warranty plate showing the original dealership in Oakland. CA. convertible top wrench. spare tire and rim. and jack. which are all pictured below. Exterior

The Light Ivory exterior is in excellent condition. As one can see in the photos. the paint has a brilliant gloss. deep shine. and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely; it has that solid Mercedes touch and feels like a vault door closing. The wheels are in great shape with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The tires are correctly sized 205/65R15 and show a bit of age. but have about 90% tread left. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. As one would expect from a paintjob with many years on it there are some stone chip touch ups and other very small blemishes around the car that are too tiny so show up in the photos. but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As one can seen in the many photos of the underside. this 560SL is very clean underneath. We have also included specific photos of the rockers. lower front and rear quarter panels. and other areas on the car most prone to rust to show how nice it looks.

 

Interior

The Palomino Leather interior of the 560SL looks fantastic. The seats are in excellent condition with no tears. rips. or split seams. The seat is not overly worn in the typical are on the driver's bolster where the drier gets in and out. Please note that these appear to be the original seats and skins. not some cheap aftermarket covers or replacements. The carpet looks nice with no rips or holes. All of the gauges faces are crisp and the lenses are clear. The dash is in good condition with no fading or sun damage. The original door panels look great with no cracks or splits. and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The convertible soft top is in good shape and the rear windows are clean and not yellowed or foggy. As with many R107 SL's. there is a small tear on the left side from getting pinched by the top mechanism with a specific photo of the area below. The wood trim looks nice overall with no fading; there are some very fine hairline cracks in the wood by the window switch. but it was too small to show up on the photos. This car has never been smoked in and there is no aroma of cigarettes what so ever. The original radio is included with the car and pictured below.

The excellent condition of this original interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this Mercedes has received throughout its life.

Mechanical

This 560SL appears to be in very nice mechanical condition. The engine starts right away every time. idles smooth. and runs great. It is an exceptional driver that feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 65mph. shifting through all the gears. braking to a stoplight. and going through some curves. Please note that it runs great. there are no vibrations. and the car performs quite nice overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. Also. the engine bay is clean. nicely detailed. and correct as one can see from the photos.

Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. The horn works as do all the exterior lights. interior lights. indicators. wipers. and fan. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock. The a/c works and blows cold. The center vents and defroster vents work properly. which is a very common problem on the R107 Mercedes SL. This Mercedes has lots of power with the 5. 6 liter engine. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car. especially with the top down on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

 

Overall. this 1986 560SL is in excellent condition and is a true bargain at our asking price. The market on for the R107 body style SL Mercedes is very strong right now. This Mercedes is a great value and will only appreciate over time. Someone could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
