With a complete ground up restoration and build completed less than 18 months ago. this outstanding 1965 Mustang Fastback is a show-stopping example of Ford's legendary and wildly successful first-generation "ponycar" with many excellent upgrades for high-performance and "real world" drivability.  Accompanied by over $70. 00 in receipts. the Mustang was professionally restored and built with the excellent results displayed here by the highly respected marque specialists at the Mustang Shop. Built to perform. this fastback is powered with a hot new 340-horsepower crate engine courtesy of Ford Racing. backed by a Tremec T-5 five-speed manual transmission. with a hydraulic clutch driving a tough Ford 9-inch  rear end.  Engine components include aluminum heads. a full roller valvetrain and a Holley four-barrel carberator atop an Edelbrock intake manifold.  A set of ceramic-coated headers send the spent gases to a new Flowmaster exhaust system. complete with H-pipe and chrome tips.  Vital components include an 80-amp high output chrome alternator. a Holley "Red" electronic fuel pump. a new fuel tank with tank armor. MSD electronic ignition with rev limiter.  All new electrical harnesses and wiring provide heightened reliability and a two-row aluminum radiator assures cool running.

Excellent underpinnings include a Mustang II front-suspension system with precise rack-and-pinion power steering.  Power assisted brakes with Wilwood 4-piston calipers and 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors deliver sure stops.  In keeping with the high quality build. the Mustang's entire interior compartment is equipped with Dynamat sound and heat insulation. including the upper trunk.  Passenger amenities include air conditioning by Old Air with heat and defrost and the Mustang is fitted with iconic "Pony" interior upholstery.  Should you ever tire of the mechanical music emanating from the twin exhaust tips. there is a custom-built audio system with CD and Pandora radio to enjoy. with hands-free capability.   The lucky driver is greeted with a set of custom gauges including an electronic speedometer. a chrome-plated tilt steering column. and a Hurst shifter.  With its timeless Fastback bodylines enhanced by a billet radiator grille up front and a set of 17-inch Shelby wheels. this excellent 1965 Mustang combines the best of the old and the new.  As such. it is ready to go and stands ready to deliver a shot of pure adrenaline with each and every drive!
