1962 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport   You are viewing a very nicely done Impala SS.   The car has had one previous owner with the last owner caring for the car for the last 20 years.   The car was originally bought in Spokane Wa.  with original invoice from Camp Chevrolet of Spokane Wa.   There is lots of maintenance paperwork and receipts going back to the first owner.   The mileage is 62. 09 original miles but the speedo and odometer quit working last year.   When I bought the car 20 years ago the car had been well cared for and garage kept.  The restoration took place between 1987 thru 96.   Only 5K miles have been driven on the car over the last 20 years mainly driven to car shows and rod runs. This 62 SS has been on T. V. and many car shows in Washington and North Idaho with many proud trophy's Car turns heads and looks & sounds phenomenal! 
  Please read on for more particulars of the car:   Body/Paint:  All body panels and body lines are very staight on the car.   The body is in excellent condition and very straight.   There are no rust bubbles no rust rot no chips or scratches.   No rust anywhere else on the car either including the trunk.   The original color of the car was roman red w/a white top.   It was decided to paint the car with a 2 stage base coat clear coat competition orange with strawberry pearl and ghost flames when restored.   The paint color changes in the different shades of light and ghost flames dissapear and reappear the paint is in excellent condition.   Excellent shine and still after 20 years show quality.   The paints looks to be only a few years old due to being covered and garaged since painted. Car cover included   Interior:  The original color of the interior was red.   It was changed to black at time of restoration.   Overall the interior is in very very good condition with a new headliner done in black velure and new correct black carpet both were professionally installed all other areas very nice.     Bottom: The underside and frame also in very good to excellent condition.   Running Gear:  All original running gear with stock 327 300 hp. Rebuilt to a monster 600 hp.  This is a true super sport with more power than you will find in most street legal 1962-64. Dyno's in @ 611 h. p. @  6700 rpm. Over $15. 00 in the motor alone forged steel crank on original block bored 30 over aluminum piston w/deep cut outs for 202 racing heads. Solid lift cam 30 over 30- 319 duration with 513 lift and solid lifters she is balanced and blue printed ported and polished. Street legal and sounds like a funny car @ the races. New clutch pressure plate through out bearing and new U joints and carrier bearing. New clutch pac in posi rear diff.  411 gears . Suspension:  The suspension is stock with the front end rebuilt when the car was restored.   The frame and undercarriage is in excellent condition due to being garaged all it life and original Washington car its entire life.   New coil springs made for that perfect ride height & handling.   Brakes:  The drum brakes are in great working order and were redone w/ new master cyl. . wheel cyl. new brake pads and 4 new drums stops on a dime like it should with this much power.     Exhaust:  In good working condition with street rod headers new 4'' mufflers installed with no clearance issues going over speed bumps.   Bright work:  The front and rear bumpers are old stock. Rare 1 piece with bumper gaurds and grill gaurd they were re- chromed.  Some of the bright work had been replaced back in 1995-96 with late great chevy oem replacement parts. Most  is original to the car in overall good condition with some areas showing some age and ware. but overall very presentable.     Glass:  The windshield was replaced with the rest of the glass original to the car.   All weather striping was replaced along with the side glass felts and new rubber replaced thru out the car.     Wheels/Tires: Old school craigers bought in the 80s in excellent condition  The tires are radials rears are P 245/50 R15 and the fronts are 205/60 R15 in very good condition with 5K miles on them or so. . Summary:  The car runs and drives excellent and needs nothing.   The car just needs a new owner to take care of her.   Perfect for a great driver and to be enjoyed.   Nice car for local car shows and just having fun.   I have over 150 pictures of the car so please contact me and provide your email address if you would like additional pictures.   Don't miss out on this affordable ride well over $60. 00. oo has been spent on this original super sport .
