1968 Mustang Fastback nicknamed "Blue Bullitt. " Originally optioned with S-Code 390 Big Block and GT Equipment option. this fastback now sports Bullitt-inspried styling and a built 429 CI big-block and C6 Automatic Transmission.

The Marti Report confirms this car was originally optioned in Acapulco Blue with GT equipment group. She has been finished in her original color but with styling queues drawn from the iconic 1968 Bullitt Mustang. The restoration was completed several years ago with only approximately 100 miles on the car since restoration.

Body/Paint: Finished in its factory correct code "D" Acapulco Blue in base coat / clear coat. The paint shows well and the car includes paint-matched rocker panels (there are two holes on the lower front fenders for the rocker panel attachment. pictures upon request). During restoration rust repair was minimal and all traces of rust were removed and repaired. The rear decklid was shaved of the "Mustang" script as on the original Bulllitt and the taillight bezels were painted to match. The GT foglights were removed in favor of the more aggressive styling of the bare grille as on the Bullitt car.  

Engine/Transmission: She is powered by a 429 cubic inch "Blue Cresent" series motor and shifted by a C6 3-Speed Automatic transmission. Long tube headers feed flow through the custom exhaust system. The motor and transmission were both professionally rebuilt and function beautifully with no issues.

Suspension: To balance the extra weight of the larger motor. heavy duty suspension components were used. coil springs. larger front stabilizer bar. shocks and subframe connectors were also added to stiffen the the car. All components are either new or refurbished. The wheels are Torque-Thrust style wrapped in new radial tires.

Interior: The black interior was treated to new upholstery. dash pad. carpet and door panels during restoration. the rear seat is a fixed seat. The steering wheel was also upgraded to match the Bullitt theme. The column is the original tilt-away unit.

The car still wears its original VIN Dash tag. Door Warranty plate and Body/Build Buck Tag on the core support. The car is verified by a Deluxe Marti Report noting original options and build information. The car also has includes a book of receipts from the restoration.
