1965 Plymouth Other for sale
Current customer rating: (141 votes ) based onUp for your bidding pleasure. is my '65 Belvedere II. As you can see. it needs finished. I'm not able to do so right now and I would like someone to finish and enjoy the car. I was just building a hot rod. something like you would have seen in 1965. Everything on the car has been replaced or rebuilt. The car has a 273 engine. 3 speed on the column. Now as 383. 4 speed on the floor. Engine is a 1968 model with approximately 75 miles on it. It has been totally rebuilt. . 40 over pistons. new bearings. etc. Has "452" heads that have hardened valve seats that's been redone. Has MOPAR performance 484-284 cam. Engine sounds great! It had Hedman headers and 3 in exhaust ending with 3" turndowns. Has thrash-hush trash mufflers. 4 speed trans is period correct. Drive shaft rebuilt. Rear end is 323 open. 8 3/4 housing. Suspension and brakes totally redone. Has Voltare disk brakes that work great. All lines. rubber and steel. have been replaced. Fuel line as well. Has complete new fuel system. tank. sender. Holley electric pump. Original gas gauge works. Have auto-meter gauges to monitor other systems. As far as the body goes. it is in very good condition. Had rust in front floor but instead of patch panels. a complete new floor was installed. Car has 4 new door hinges. Side moldings were removed and body smoothed. Got painted. but not up to expectations. hence the appearance now. Just needs more blocking and paint. I have all the old interior pieces that need redone. All the glass is good. Front and rear windshields have new gaskets. Windows all work. All the wiring have been stripped. cleaned. retaped. and all new connectors were soldered and head shrunk. Dash lights work. so does AM radio. Dash was repainted front and back. Tires and wheels are new. Bottom of car was cleaned of under coating and painted.
There is a lot more repairs and updates that I am probably forgetting. I have driven the car to 2 cruise-ins where it was very well received the way it is. All the tough work has been done and its time for someone to take it to the next level.
