Proud to offer this Chevelle SS LS6 convertible. a vehicle that was frame up restored in the 90s and purchased by a gentleman in the year 2000 from RM Auctions in Scottsdale AZ. . This exceptional well restored Chevelle SS had only 297 miles in 2000 and was driven 6. 68 miles in the past 13 years. Documents show and the car's cowl tag indicates the car was built in the Kansas City assembly plant on the 4th week of Nov. 1969. Paint code 19-3. Tuxedo Blk. blk conv. top. trim 788. red strato bucket seats. This rare example was one of many collectible rare automobiles that was commissioned to bankruptcy court back in the late 90s. After the car was sold. the documents were never forwarded to the bank.  The car was presented as evidenced in the auction brochure as a "totally correct and complete numbers matching original LS6 convertible".  100% frame up restored. this Chevelle LS6 is one of the most carefully rebuilt cars where all the components are date component correct. Complete set of cast numbers and date codes are available upon request. This high quality restoration still looks fabulous after 13 years. Special options are: Rare stripe delete. PW. tilt steering. cushion grip 3 spoke steering wheel. strato buckets with console. tinted glass. am/fm stereo radio. M22 Rock Crusher trans. with orig. Muncie shifter and chrome shift knob. Looking at the exterior of this car. you'll notice that the body lines are as straight as if it came right from the factory. Proper alignment to all body panels. perfect fit. Highly detailed hood. door and trunk jambs. mirror finish Tuxedo black paint that you can see your reflection in. Correct date coded soft ray glass in exceptionally nice shape. high quality chrome front and rear bumpers. GM wheel opening mouldings. hood pins. T3 head lamps and stainless bright work has that brilliant luster. The interior is completely restored and spotless maintaining that new car smell. Factory deluxe seat belts. tach. gauges. clock. am/fm stereo. heater. horn. interior lights. all work perfectly. The Muncie shifter still has the reverse lock out rod. back up lights work. Earlier cars built in November. such as this one has F70 14" Goodyear Ply Glass raised white letter tires which was correct for period. This cars engine bay has a factory appearance with o modifications. block stamping is to be believed the original broaching marks. however. without documentation. such as a build sheet. Protecto Plate or original dealer invoice. we cannot authenticate this car as an original LS6 convertible. but nonetheless. everything seems correct as it should be. Here's a little story. While attending a car show in the lakes region of NH in 2002. I immediately spotted this car and had to know more about this rare Chevelle LS6 convertible. The gentleman had owned it for a couple years and stated it was all original matching numbers. The more I investigated. the more amazed I became. At that time. the odometer read 5. 00 miles and the car had that fresh factory appearance. stripe delete which gave it a whole different. kind of masculine look. The underside was spotless and looked like it just rolled off the assembly line. Then we open the hood. I thought WOW! Such a rare find that made me want this car all the more. Taking the wind out of my sails. the owner stated he would never sell the car because he always wanted one since childhood. For me. it was like the girl that got away. you know. you always remember that special one. Well. I always remembered this car. the mileage. the name of the owner and our conversation like it was yesterday. For 11 years. I've pined away about this car and now it became available! Turns out. the owner stated he didn't have time to drive and enjoy it with only putting 1. 00 miles on it in 11 yrs. Never driven in the rain. this Chevelle only saw the sunny summer days. Now for the test drive. this car performs excellent! The M22 howling transmission went unnoticed as we shifted through the gears. cowl induction opened as the secondary's opened and put me back in my seat. and I'm hooked. The underside is still in fantastic shape. satin black GM 60% gloss finish on the floors. frame. OEM stock dual exhaust with factory resonators. front end components. suspension. gas tank. correct GM shocks. brake and fuel lines still look like new. This car definitely makes a statement.
