Up for sale is my 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor – 136724 Miles / 2236 Hours

Car has factory order code 720A-POL INTR 327 - True police model built by Ford Motor Company.  
 

I am not going to go into the specs. and parameters of the horsepower. torque. turning radius. length. etc. as it is readily available through Ford or any used car buying site. I will list the major components that differ it from a base model and the description of the car in the next few paragraphs.

Car has factory equipment tag 1015-74454/23/08WA. This car was originally ordered through Columbia Ford Lincoln Mercury out of Longview. WA. This was NOT a standard dealer lot car and was specifically ordered by the state as an unmarked unit. Car was purchased by the State of Washington where it was used as an unmarked highway car for an upper level officer in SW Washington State. It has not seen any mountain use like other WSP units in eastern Washington and is spotless underneath. I purchased the car in July of 2016 and have driven it relentlessly for the past 11 months. It has seen many cross country trips as well as multiple trips to Chicago and Baltimore. I have had to use the car on an hours' notice and drive it across multiple states and it has performed excellent. Aside from typical maintenance and various small repairs. the car has been a workhorse and continues to perform at its greatest potential. Car is my daily driver and mileage will increase slightly. Car has seen about 80% highway use and 20% city use since in my possession.

The following paragraphs will describe the condition and performance of my car: 

Exterior: 
Car has paint code (AQ) Arizona Beige. This car has NEVER been a marked car and all paintwork is original to the car. All sheet metal is original to the car and has not had any bodywork or replacements done. Both front and rear bumpers covers are the factory Ford covers made from yellow urethane. The front bumper cover does have 2 notches from a push bar that was installed - They are roughly 1. 5” x . 75”. This has ALWAYS been an unmarked car and never had any type of exterior decals or insignia. It has never had a light-bar. The finish on the paint is just beautiful. You can usually tell if a car has had decals as the paint is just old and tired. People will try to buff out the imperfections but it will never be like an unmarked car. Overall. the paint is beautiful. Front marker lights previously had strobe bulbs in them and have since been replaced. All headlight and marker lights are brand new Ford lights with new bulbs. Taillights and reverse lenses have never been drilled through for strobes. There are holes on the roof. decklid and quarter panel from radio antennas that have been plugged with rubber grommets. While the car in general is in very good shape. it does have imperfections. There are subtle scratches throughout the car (see video) with the largest imperfections being scuffs on the lower right side of the front bumper. small ding on driver rear door. scuffs on the driver b-pillar (touch-up paint used). a small ding on the rear passenger door and dent on the lower half of the passenger front door. Windshield has 2 small issues (One . 25” wide crack on the upper right side and one . 25” bullseye chip on the lower left side). Both are small enough that they should not affect an inspection sticker. if your state needs one. Regardless of the imperfections. the car is in excellent condition for being 9 years old and having over 100K miles. The underside of this car is absolutely spotless. ZERO rust or issues. Rocker panels are just as nice as the body! Floor pans are clean enough to eat off. guaranteed! Exhaust is nice and clean. not all rusted out like other cars.

Interior: 
Car has factory interior code (HN) Black/Gray Cloth. Car did have a no-drill cage in it so there are no cuts in the b-pillar. All seat belts. wires. and accessories are untouched and in their original places. This car did have a no-drill console installed and had a wiring loom for radios installed using the factory seat harness opening under the passenger front seat. This car also had a no-drill visor light installed using the factory visor pinpoints. No cuts or gashes in the headliner. Rear deck has had an interior light bar installed using the upper seat child tie down points – No holes or cuts in the deck itself. Dash has NEVER had any type of equipment installed so there are ZERO holes. Rubber flooring is absolutely flawless. There is no wear anywhere nor are there any cuts/tears. Rear seat and passenger seat are just as in good of shape as they were when the car was built – Rear seat does have some scuffing on it (see picture). Driver seat did have the typical cut in the hinge but has since been extended and repaired. New sleeve has more cushioning and stronger stitches. Some use on the seat itself but still looks new. Steering wheel has very minor wear and most of the texture is still intact around the wheel.

Mechanical: 
This car has NO mechanical defects. It accelerates fast. corners aggressively with minimal body-roll and stops the moment the brakes are pressed. The front pads and rotors were recently replaced as well as the rear rotors and pads. The car stops VERY quickly with no fade. Transmission is smooth and there are no hesitations between shifts. Every change can be heard but not felt. Ride is very smooth and shocks take the impact very well. Steering shaft recalled has been performed as well as a power steering flush. Steering is like new and very responsive.

Electrical / Safety: 
All electrical items on this car work as they should. There are NO defects. Every light works and every instrument works. Heat is HOT and a/c is COLD. Blower works on all levels with no hesitation. Radio signal is strong. All windows and locks work flawlessly. *What is different about this car is that is has been inspected by the local Ford dealer. Any codes or issues have been checked and fixed. Many sellers will disregard the issues unless the seller absolutely presses an issue. All lights work as they should and there are no drainage issues with any of the electronics. This car does have side airbags as an option as well as the standard driver and passenger airbags. All dash lights come on with the key on. engine off and with key on/engine on and then return to normal.

Maintenance / Service History 
Prior to myself owning the car. the state garage was responsible for maintenance. Everything has been on a 3000 mile interval and larger parts have been replaced as needed. I do not have any records from the State of Washington aside from some service history on the Carfax. Prior to myself obtaining the car. some larger parts have seen replacement. These include water pump. cooling fan and assembly. alternator. battery and sway bar links. Transmission has seen services at 50K. 90k and 117k.

Over the course of time since I have owned the car. I have performed various repairs such as the following:

Oil/Filter have been changed on a 3500-4000 mile interval. I have not always got to them right on time so while some have been performed at 3500 miles. other have gone no longer 4000.

137K Mile service has already been performed and included the following:

1. Oil

2. Oil Filter

3. Air Filter


Front brakes are at 95% 
Rear brakes are at 90% 

Wheels/Tires: 
Wheels have been stripped and repainted in the original glass black with clearcoat. All wheel weights were removed and put back on after painting. Center caps are very nice and have no dings. Tires are Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip and handle very well in the sand and gravel. They are somewhat louder than a typical passenger tire due to the aggressive tread but nothing absurd. All tires are in good shape with no signs of improper wear or dry rot. All tires are at 90%. Spare tire is also a Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip with about 50% tread life left.

Accident History:

This car has NEVER been in an accident. All sheet metal and body panels are original to the car. Bumper covers are original as well. Please be very careful when looking at used police models. Many agencies will repair their own cars and it will never show up on record because it was never turned into insurance. I have seen cars that should have been totaled and then repaired by private companies to make it look new. It is VERY hard to match the factory paint finish. Many people will over-correct the car to make it look as good as possible and that's when you can tell because some areas look new and some areas don't. The areas that don't are often original and the new work has been over-done past what the factory did. Please be VERY careful and do your research. This car is ALL ORIGINAL and all factory stickers and production decals are still in place as well as the VIN tags on ALL body panels.

There is an immense amount of paperwork that comes with the car such as: Title. Bill of Sale. 30+ pages of maintenance. CarFax. dealer option sheet. original purchase agreement and copy of original title.
