Volvo: P1800E

1970 Volvo P1800E Coupe        

I bought this car about a year ago in the condition as is from the previous owner.  The car was kept in storage by the previous owner for a long time and I haven't had the time  any work on it myself. I decided to sell it because now I have other priorities.

A few days ago when the weather was nice. I finally took the car out for a few checks. I cleaned the sparks. points and put new battery and new fuel and after doing this. the car started right away. I did a test drive around the block and found that the car runs well in my opinion and all gears change well and smoothly. The brakes work. all lights work including the front and back lights. fog lights. ipers. hazard signal. signal light. fan. odometer. speedometer. water gauge. oil gauge all work. The doors open and close well including the lock. The gas cap open and lock. The trunk lock the little spring is broken so it doesn't stay closed. so needs to replace this spring ( this is why in the picture. I put 2 pieces of tape to hold it closed temporarily) The vent glass on passenger side is locked and needs a new handle.

This is a 4 speed fully injected model. The engine compartment looks in very good original condition with all original components.    The engine is  original B20.

The car is in original condition. The exterior was repainted many years ago so it has some bubbling. scratches. some peeling and small chipping.  The gaskets in the windows and doors still look fine.   The car is complete with all parts and trim.   The car comes with 1 ignition key. 1 door key and 1 fuel cap key. The undercarriage looks good but I don't have a hydraulic system to lift the car to get a thorough look. But it seems to me a solid undercarriage including the floor. It looks like the previous owner took care and sprayed some kind of protection during his ownership.

The interior is complete and  in original good condition .   The dashboard is original with all knobs and gauges complete. There is a working radio. There are no cracks or veins on top of the dash which is unusual and it looks nice and smooth.  The seats are in original good condition and has original Volvo seat covers with some sign of age in the passenger and driver seats but still presentable. The door panels are complete and in good original condition. All the door handles work. the windows roll up and down well.  The headline and sunvisors are clean and in good condition. The back trunk inside is dry and in very good condition. Inside there is the original spare tire and jack.

Just remember that this is a 47 year old car in original condition so please keep that in mind in your expectations. Also this model in restored condition has sold for over $40. 00 - $50. 00 so there is a lot of room for the buyer to do any level of restoration.

If your preference is classic cars in original condition. this is the car for you. As you know classic cars are hard to find in original and complete condition. Note that the car is in condition as I found it from the previous owner and I didn't spray paint. oil. grease or made any adjustment or repair to improve the look of the car so that I can give to the buyer the most clear view of the condition and starting point for restoration.

The car is located in Toronto Ontario Canada and is sold in the condition as is and where is and there is no warranty. expressed or implied. The car will be sold with Canadian title in my name.

I suggest for you to send someone to come and see the car or even yourself if able.
