1967 Mercedes Benz 250S - Solid California / New Mexico Car

Beautiful 1967 Mercedes originally from California then moved to New Mexico.  Very solid body.  Original. solid floors throughout.  Mechanically solid enough to be a reliable daily driver.  Rare factory power sunroof works properly and does not leak.  MB Tex interior is in remarkable condition - no rips or tears and still very comfortable.  Long record history available.  No known rust underneath and only very minor normal "rock chip" type bubbles but definitely a solid car overall.  Paint is stunning from a short distance but there is some paint delamination in a few areas.  Cranks easily and consistently - hot or cold.  Runs cool.  Shifts correctly.  Has hard to find AC that functions but needs a recharge to be as cool as it should be.  A video of this car on the interstate with no problems is available via email.  Tires are white wall show tires and are in good condition but are more for show than function.  Carpets are clean and in very good shape.  Engine bay is remarkably clean for the age of the car.  Clearly a well cared for car.  Brightwork and lenses are good to very good.  Rear door handles are stiff from lack of use - which means rear seat area is in very. very good shape with only minor trim wear on door panels.  If you are looking for an elegant daily driver this car should fit the bill with a level of style that is hard to find these days.

In answer to emailed questions:

- I know of no electrical problems with the car.  The wire running underneath is for an electric fuel pump which replaced the original fuel pump. - Yes. the car includes a spare and the jack set.  Pic attached. - Yes. I can include pics of the engine bay and undercarriage.  Listing revised to include. - Yes. I would trust the car to drive it home. but remember the tires are not great. - The windows are crank. not electric. - Yes. all four jack holes (a common rust problem area in this model) are all clean and solid. Listing revised to include pics. - The floor pans and trunk pan all seem original and solid.  At some point there has been moisture underneath the trunk mat on ONE side so minor surface rust has developed (pic included to show the worst).  There is also a pic of the other side of the trunk which is clean and rust free.  Trunk pan is solid - rust seems to be only on the very surface. - Carpets are in good repair.  No need for replacement. - Seats are in incredible condition for their age.  Anyone with experience with MB Tex will tell you that it is almost indestructible. - Brakes seem to be very good.  They stop the car quickly and solidly - no screech / no seize. - Exhaust system seems fine.  No exhaust leak to my knowledge.  Pic included. - Yes. these are the original style hubcaps. - Yes. the car has been painted (not by me) but black is the original color. I think.  Everything matches.  There is some delamination from earlier layers but after checking this is from primer. not filler. - Yes. I'll be happy to work with whichever shipping company you choose - provided funds for the car have cleared. - Yes. I can provide a video clip of the car in action.  - Yes. speedometer works.  Temp gauge works.  Oil pressure gauge works.  Odometer works.  Clock doesn't work.

CORRECTION - the seats are in very good condition but there is some damage to the cover of the passenger side headrest.  I noticed this today as I took pictures for an interested Ebayer.  I have reached the pic limit on the listing. but please feel free to contact me for additional pictures through messaging.
