1998 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class R129

This is an extremely low mileage example of what is considered one of the best years for this model. It has the desirable 5 speed auto with the M113 24 valve motor with none of the issues such as the infamous wiring harness degradation. It is also one of the last pre-chrysler models.
I bought this from a retired cardiologist. They stopped using the car years ago when he got melanoma. So the car had been garaged and only occasionally taken out.  Absolutely needs nothing to enjoy now.  
No issues. no warning lights. the top operates flawlessy with no leaks in the hydraulics.  
All buttons and controls work. Seats adjust fine and rollbar works.  
No oil leaks. Air blows cold.  
Stereo is original and has the factory Bose subwoofer.  Sound system and CD changer sounds and works great.  Original hands free phone in dash and another phone hand unit in armrest.
The car does has service records although not so many since it has such low mileage.
New Sumitomo tires. Desireable 18" AMG Monoblock II staggered rims with nearly no blemishes or curb rash. 8" front 9" rear
Original first aid and cleaning kit in the trunk with all items unused. Original factory car cover in trunk.
Hardtop is currently off the car. covered. and pristine. Stand is included.
Highly desired Xenon headlight option.
Leather seats show virtually no wear.
Custom rubber mats to protect the very nice carpeting
Dash Mat included to protect the perfect dash.
This car is old. so there are small areas of patina - some paint chips on the spoiler and front bumper. a mild scrape on the front passenger side bumper (in photo but hard to see). some bugs and brake dust but all of these are small issues in the big scheme of things. This car is mechanically like new and barely broken in.

This is definitely a car you can fly in and drive home with. It will cross the country tomorrow and Santa Fe is not a bad place to visit. Otherwise I'm happy to work with your shipper or recommend shippers.
