1966 Shelby SC Cobra

Up for sale is my 2004 Factory Five Mark III cobra.   It is in great condition. runs well and is very dependable.   I have owned a lot of sports cars but this is one of the most fun. 580 HP. open cockpit car less than 2000 pounds. its absolutely insane to drive.

Car has recently been gone through and completely rebuilt by a very reputable shop here on Long Island.   The work performed includes the following;

New super snake hood paint matched to car.   Car will come with original matching FFR hood as well.   The BBF set up is too tall for the factory FFR hood scoop. I drove the car for a while with no hood and a snorkel intake but it now has a perfectly matched hood and a standard air cleaner but retains the factory high rise Ford intake which fits the super cobra jet heads on the motor.

New Ford Racing 521 Big Block crate engine complete with super cobra jet cylinder heads. motor is rated at 580 HP and 600 PFT

New custom stainless steel fuel tank.  Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump. two billet filters. Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. all new fuel lines and AN fittings

New Tremec TKO 500. road racing model. Quick Time Bell housing. McLeod Twin Disc Clutch

New heavy Duty Aluminum drive shaft. U joints and forged yoke from the Drive Shaft Shop

New MSD ignition

New Black Jet Coated side pipes. with larger than normal straight through mufflers.   Car is quite loud but not obnoxious like open exhaust

Car was completely rewired with Ron Francis wiring harness

New gauges (Stewart Warner Cobra speedo. tach & Stack instrument gauges)

New Willwood disc brakes on all front and rear

New custom leather seats and leather dashboard by Miller Place Upholstery

The car has a nice hidden stereo system with four high quality speakers in the cockpit. trunk mounted amp and subwoofer.   It requires an ipod or smart phone as the receiver.

Car has two sets of rims and tires both on real Hillebrand knock off rims. one set with BF Goodrich Comp TA's and the other with real Good Year billboard tires.   Both sets of tires are like new

This is a factory five kit Mark III kit that was professionally assembled and has the independent rear suspension option.   Everything in this car is either new (The best of the best of the best available parts) or was professionally rebuilt before this car went together. This is not a cheap kit car built with a bunch of old mustang parts from the junk yard.  The car is very fun to drive. dependable and a real head turner.   Car is on Long Island and is available for inspection to serious buyers.   This is not a divorce or a fire sale so please don't contact me unless you have the money and are serious about buying the car.   I'm reducing the size of my car collection and will be listing several cars over the course of the summer. at this time I don't think I'm interested in trades as I really just want to reduce the size of my car collection.   Car is registered in NY. title is free & clear and ready to be transferred.
