I'm proud to offer this amazing 2-owner limited production mid-year 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 XL two-door hardtop fastback. This was the first venture by Ford into Fastback territory. as the earlier '63 model was "box top. and the 1964 model body and trim was also different. The 1963 1/2 stands alone a brief mid-year offering. and remains "the" collectible early Galaxie 500 model to own.   It is an amazing and beautiful surviving example in all respects. and turns heads like no other car I've ever owned. people have a natural affinity towards this car. young and old alike.

The car sold new and spent most of its' low-mile life in sunny Santa Clara. California. where it lived life as a second car. a weekend driver.   It then began life with its' second owner in Boise. Idaho in the late 1980's. where it was treated as a show car / weekend cruiser. and rarely driven.   The car is and always has been completely rust free. not a pinhole to be found anywhere as far as I can see. She was always been exclusively a fair-weather weekend cruiser. and has always been garaged when not in use.  This love and car shows inside and out.

The nearly perfect original white interior upholstery is beautiful. featuring the original XL-only bucket seats and center console. with matching rear seat and additional XL bright work. The interior chrome and stainless trim are truly outstanding.    The gauge cluster. steering wheel. door panels. headliner. sun visors. carpet. etc. are all remain great condition.   Not absolutely perfect. but extremely nice in all respects.

The factory Select Aire Air Conditioning system seems to be in proper working order. as do the gauges. lights. heater. wipers. signals. etc. The car is a time machine.  I can't find a thing on the car that isn't in proper working order with the current exception of the power seat. which is intermittent. and the clock. These may both begin operating again as I drive the car.

The bodywork is extremely straight. with excellent panel alignment and no evidence of previous damage. The paint is an older quality 1980's job. which has held up wonderfully; it still shines like a diamond.  The front and rear chrome bumpers are extremely nice. the front grill just about perfect. side trim excellent. tail light chrome and tail panel trim are also great.   In fact. the car is pretty much in great condition everywhere you look.   As a genuine survivor. this classic Galaxie fastback may be as perfect an example as you will ever find.  Look at the pictures and see for yourself. she's gorgeous. Not absolutely perfect. but extremely nice. and genuinely rust-free.

The undercarriage is almost as clean as the exterior. with original exhaust. new shocks. original Z-code 390 4v engine (40k total miles showing on the car. very likely original miles based on the exceptional condition and outstanding mechanical condition). and more. Bone-stock appearance under the hood with the original air cleaner and Thunderbird gold valve covers. original wheels. original wire wheel covers. nearly perfect tires. spare wheel/tire and trunk accessories. etc. It just goes on and on.   I have pictures of just about anything you'd like to see if you are a serious buyer and making an offer.

This IS your ideal summer cruiser. You may not ever find another this nice. short of a high dollar auction. A beautiful car. a turnkey runner and driver. and "the" year to have. not to mention that it's loaded to the gills
While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible. it is in fact a 54-year-old classic. and therefore being exactly sold as-is. without warranty or guarantee expressed. written. or implied.

Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction's end via cash. deposit into my Bank of America account. or bank wire transfer.

Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I own a classic car restoration shop and can recommend a reliable and affordable broker who I have used many times. ultimately the choice must be yours alone.

Clear title in hand.   Feel free to call me (Tim) directly at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have.   Once again. I AM willing to end the auction for the right offer and a prompt payment.
