I thought I had this sold. Do not bid on this car if you don't have the cash to buy it. I am going to regret this but it is time to sell my 1979 504 Peugeot. I lost my storage and business and have no place to keep it this winter. The gas version is very rare and I prefer it over a diesel. A lot less maintainance. I lost my business and winter storage and need the cash. I have personally owned it since 1993. My dad owned it from 1986-1993. My dad bought it from the original owners who were an elderly couple who traded it in on a brand new Peugeot. I have put thousands of dollars into the car over the years. This was to fix the a/c. Which blows real cold. I also have maintained the body by doing a decent restoration twice. When I got the car from my dad. there were typical 504 rust areas. I have had them repaired and the last body work was done about 8 years ago. Since then there are flaws in the paint and areas have gotten chipped or slightly dented. However. the car is nice and is a daily driver and not a concourse car. The car keeps up with freeway traffic and unlike other 504's the wheels are perfectly balanced. The p/s is nice and the automatic shifts as it should. The interior is good but the seats are starting to split. The gas gauge stopped working 2 years ago. When the low fuel light comes on is when I put unleaded regular gas into the car. This car has the wide sunroof and the seal is fine. Not working are the high beams but the low beams work fine. Also the side markers aren't working too well. The car has a slow oil leak around the pan. It is a common 504 problem with the seal. It doesn't use oil and I check it ever so often.
