1962 Chrysler 300 automatic with push button selector transmission and 383 engine. I purchased this car local from a guy that had it since 1970 he never lest it out in the rain or snow while he was using it  and it has been sitting unused since 1990 therefore it has no rust no rot no holes anywhere . When I bought it the old guy made me promise I would never store it outside in the rain . the underside is in unbelievable condition it still has original factory undercoating not rusted. the paint job is not in pristine condition by any means it has wear and scrapes but no rust. the car is complete with all mechanical  items body trim and interior intact and seems to be all original. I changed the filter . leaned the carb and changed the coil and points  and was able to start it up and keep it running and idling nice off a gas can. I had it running for about a half hour one day and 45 minutes the next while I tested everything.  I have a video of it running I just didn't know how to add it to the auction . I drove it around the block it shifted well I used the emergency brakes to stop . the brake system holds fluid but needs to be bled . could probably do that before the new owner picks it up. all the brake shoes brake pistons and hardware were changed right before the guy stopped using the car so they just need to be adjusted . They have Lockheed non self adjusting brakes in it I can bleed the braked but I have never adjusted that type before . I drained all the old fluid out of the system and put new brake fluid in.  the 2 clear marker lights in from have cracks in them and the electric motor that runs the convertible top does not work the last owner said you can put it down manually But I don't know how. The top is not original it was put on  in the late eighties and is in  very good condition  . The dash and components including the steering wheel and clear plastic bubble are all in perfect condition the red leather seats have a few rips in them . the door panels are also nice . The carpet looks brand new the guy had cardboard all over them like many old people use to when I took up the cardboard  it looked like the rug was put in yesterday. all the electric windows work . the trunk Has no rust I took the carpet up and inspected it thoroughly but the carpet in the trunk is pretty greasy. Pretty rare to find an important car lie this with no rust and in running condition. When I had it running I checked all the lights like it was an inspection and they are all good. all the glass is good also. I have many more pictures I could not put in listing And I can take any pictures you would like me to on sunny days when it rains it has to go in the garage . Car needs a good cleaning and A new home . I have a stack of transferable registrations and a bunch of paperwork . The trunk had all kinds of extra parts the guy would take off of cars in the junk yard just in case he ever needed them you can have them also. Pick up here in Rome ny Or I can get A shipping quote to your location. non refundable deposit of $500 due within 48 hours the rest at pickup within A few weeks hopefully . Its in the garage so its not really in the way but I would like to use my garage some day. Feel free to ask questions you can also call me at 315-335-5848  Thanks -Rick
