1969 Dodge Coronet A12 Super Bee

Frame Up Restored Coronet Superbee 440 Six Pack 4 Speed

Year: 1969 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Yellow Mileage: 0 Transmission type: 4 Speed Manual Engine: 440 V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle info

When looking at this rare 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee. it's hard not to acknowledge one's inner Steve McQueen. Even sitting still. this car looks like a weapon. And. thankfully. the Chrysler Corporation knew better than to give it big scoops. bright colors and cool cartoon graphics without adding some serious firepower under the hood. That said; the terms "numbers matching" and "Hemi" aren't the only indicators of the A12's market success. And. if you're looking for the ultimate piece of Detroit metal that'll show as well as it tears up the road. this freshly restored Dodge is just the opportunity you've been waiting for!

Is there any cooler pigment than this Super Bee's shockingly nice Bahama Yellow urethane? As one of the more subdued and scarce hues to come out of Chrysler's hip. 'brighter is better' mindset. the car's rare code 96 yellow is some of the crispest paint to ever adorn classic Mopar metal. Naturally. the fall-like hue looks right at home highlighting this rotisserie-restored coupe's laser-straight panels. razor-sharp lines. and rock-solid profile. When expertly applied under traditional black accents and buffed to a show worthy shine. it becomes an absolutely fantastic reminder as to just how cool Detroit's golden era really was. And overall. this Dodge's first class reboot creates a high gloss visual masterpiece which oozes the bare knuckle confidence and old school appeal that made Chrysler street warriors the stuff of legend!

Thanks to a lot of money spent and a lot of bolts turned. this Coronet's crisp gaps and spectacular panel alignment present much better than when they rolled off Chrysler's Lynch Road assembly line. At the front of the car's body. a restored. pot metal grille hangs four clear headlights above a good looking chrome bumper that's equipped with clear. square parking lamps. At the sides of that grille. multi-faceted panels are detailed with a correct driver's mirror. traditional chrome door handles. dent-free wheel frames and bold Super Bee call-outs. Above those panels. a reproduction A12 hood anchors bright "SIX PACK" decals in front of like-new glass that's cleared by satin-finished wipers. shielded by straight chrome drip rails and framed by well-maintained stainless trim. And opposite that hood. a sculpted decklid hangs a small Super Bee emblem above traditional. chrome-trimmed tail lights. a second chrome bumper and polished stainless exhaust tips.

Pull this Dodge's famous stainless hood pins and you'll find a correct. 440 cubic inch Chrysler V8 that's been fully rebuilt. completely sorted and thoroughly detailed for show. At the top of that 390 horsepower monster. a correct trio of Holley carburetors rides within a giant. Hemi Orange air cleaner. At the base of those carburetors. a correct Edelbrock intake hangs between correct heads and traditional. stamped steel valve covers. At the front of those valve covers. a reliable points distributor shoots spark through reproduction Chrysler Electronic Suppression wires. And at the sides of that distributor. fully restored exhaust manifolds funnel spent gases into great sounding. true-dual tail pipes. Aesthetically. this Coronet's Bahama Yellow engine bay is exceptionally impressive from its correctly placed decals and bright overspray all the way to its correct squeeze clamps and old school Chrysler washer tank. And a great combination of new and reproduction pieces ensure the car's operation is both reliable and fun. with items like a correct radiator. a tagged Mopar red cap battery and a collection of fresh belts and hoses making sure every mile is traveled safely.

Land this Super Bee on a lift and a nicely detailed undercarriage that's complete with glossy Bahama Yellow floorpans rises into view. In the center of those pans. a correct A833 4-speed applies power to a rugged Dana 60 rear end that spins a posi-traction differential around tall. 4. 10 gears. Below that proven drivetrain. a heavy duty front torsion bar and rear leaf suspension has been completely rebuilt to include a correct A12 sway bar. correct 'uneven' leaf springs and traditional drum brakes. Steering. like those brakes. is completely manual. providing a unique. vintage feel. Exhaust is handled by 2. 5-inch. free-flowing tail pipes that jettison cooked dinosaurs through an H-style crossover. traditional turbo mufflers and spotless stainless tips. Power flows to the pavement via 15-inch steel wheels that spin authentic looking G70-15 Goodyear Custom Wide Tread redlines around chrome lug nuts and glossy black paint. And naturally. the car's correctly tagged. accurately dripped and fully sorted undercarriage is rounded out by fresh stainless fluid lines and a new stainless fuel tank.

Open this coupe's big. solid doors and sit down inside a cockpit where legendary Mopar power melds seamlessly with a no frills. no-nonsense driving environment. At the center of the car's floors. firm bench seats have been stuffed with fresh padding and topped with correctly pleated covers. In front of those seats. an expertly restored dash frames rebuilt factory gauges beside a correct Chrysler Solid State radio. At the sides of that dash. fresh door panels hang new armrests under bright stainless trim and glossy black toppers. At the bottom of those panels. like-new carpet frames a chrome Hurst shifter. In front of the driver. a large-diameter steering wheel spins a monochromatic. fratzog-branded horn button around a fully rebuilt steering column. And behind the cockpit. the car's professionally restored trunk is complete all the way down to its plaid mat. space saver tire and fresh decklid decal.

The sale of this awesome Super Bee includes a small stack of build receipts.

This '69 A12 Coronet has it all: looks to kill. power that never stops and a storied history that's super cool in and of itself. If you're in the market for some solid Mopar muscle that'll be a constant source of pride and fun. this top notch Dodge is the car for you!
