Seller's notes: Very nice original rare 997 cooper , just finished 2 year restoration, after being off the road for more than 30 years , all original interior in great condition for year with new webbing to front seats, body has had new cills , both front wings and door skins , using heritage parts. The rest off the body is original including the floor , which must be pretty rare . The car has had all new brake pipes pads shoes,and has the original 7 inch discs . The rear subframe had to be replaced the front is original . All the glass is original , original wheels and trims basically most of the car is as it was in the 60s .nice smoke free engine still on leaded . A very nice rare original Mini Cooper mk1 997.. In original colour . All numbers match . And I have the heritage certificate for the car. The number plate does not come with the car , but it will come with a 1962 registration . I will put some pictures on later on today . Treat yourself to an early Christmas present .

1962 mk 1 austin Mini Cooper. a very rare chance to own the first cooper model . he much rarer 997 . A very nice example just restored after being garaged for the past 30 odd years. very original car. ew brake pipes. hoses . ads . hoes . hocks . exhaust. rubbers. carpet. ew braided wiring loom. ew tyres. lovely colour surf blue with old English white roof . sand blasted and powder coated old English wheels. Sand blasted and powder coated sub frames. new rear one . Whole car has been taken back to bare metal . had two new wings . two new outer cills. one new door skin. Every thing else is original with no signs of welding to the floor . Then I had the car re sprayed in the original colour surf blue. There are a couple of minor issues with the paint. 1 above the drivers side door hinge is a raised lump of paint a bit smaller than a five pence piece . the roof has a small area scratched by a buffing mop! None of these were me . I will take some pictures of these small issues . In my opinion this car is a little cracker. and has had a lot of major work done to bring it back to how it should be. I'm sure I've missed loads of things to tell you. The car has 11 months mot and tax. Free. . The registration does not come with the car as it is too valuable and will be sold at a later date. A 1962 registration will be issued to me within the next week or so. The mini is advertised on other sites and may be removed at any time .
