Gorgeous 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne 2Door Sedan

Ground-Up Restoration

Meticulous owner. two year $40k ground-up restoration. This is the way you want to buy a classic car and enjoy it. just jump in and drive. Completely restored and upgraded to make it not only great to look at but great to drive. This rust free car has undergone a considerable restoration. The goal was to create a super reliable touring car capable of covering long distances without tiring the driver and three passengers. This car runs and drives exceptionally well and is in outstanding condition.

History:

In 1967 the owner had a yellow 1958 Chevy Biscayne. He sold that car when he was drafted to Vietnam in 1968. Always wanting another one he found this 1958 Chevrolet

Biscayne in Bakersfield CA and spent two years doing a ground-up restoration (Completed in 2013). His wife came up with the idea of the “2nd 58” for the license plate and she named the car Biscuit. They have enjoyed meticulously caring for the car and now it is time for their next chapter so it's time to move the car on to a new owner.

Engine & Transmission: The mechanics on this car are very well sorted. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the exceptionally nice sounding 283 CI V-8 crate engine runs strong and delivers power whenever you want it. Power steering. 4 power disc brakes. heavy duty radiator. Edlebrock aluminum intake manifold. Edlebrock polished aluminum air cleaner. speedway painted aluminum finned valve covers. mechanical fuel pump. HEI distributor. Taylor 8mm plug wires. Headman ceramic coated headers. exhaust system completely redone. Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. completed rebuilt front suspension. The current owner updated everything and the result is a car that starts on the first crank and runs strong. There is a binder with records for service done/restoration and a detailed appraisal/condition report. It is great to see an example that has been completely gone through and sorted by a meticulous owner.

Body: The body panels are all straight with no dents or waviness. All custom tinted glass and chrome are in great shape. The car is free of any rust or corrosion. The paint is exceptional and shows exceptionally well. I consider this a show-car paint job. The car has been stored in a private garage. The exterior color is very nice and shows the great lines of the car.

Interior: The interior of this car has been completely professionally restored. I tried to capture this in the photos but to really understand how nice this car is you need to sit in it. All gauges work. all mechanical components work as new. updated factory radio. the interior is like being in your home living room while the car floats down the road. The trunk area is very nice and has the Chevrolet emblem in the carpet as a nice touch. The new owner will enjoy driving this car without disappointment.

Summary:

This is a wonderful example of an American Car Icon. It is in great condition and perfect for cruising or taking to car shows. The current owner spared no expense to make this car nice. The best way to enjoy a classic car is to buy one that has been extremely well maintained and documented. If you are looking for a Chevrolet this car is worth taking a look at. One of the best examples on the market today.
