Here at MissChiTown we assist private sellers in marketing their collector cars on eBay.   We are proud to bring you this extremely rare 1961 Jaguar XK150 FHC.   The car is fitted with the 3. 8 liter engine. standard 4-speed transmission.   In the mid-1990s the car was stripped and repainted in Indigo Blue lacquer.   The person who did the repaint and any necessary metalwork to the trunk and battery boxes was a Jaguar expert who has since passed on.   While the car is not a frame off restoration. all wiring harnesses. rubber seals are new. Carpets are Wilton wool. per original specs.   The car has a period-correct Webasto soft top.   The top slides back (manually) and gives the feel of an open car.   The owner tells us that the pictures don't really show the top that well but it is in near perfect condition as well as the headliner. The odometer reads 42. 91 miles and the owner believes it to be original but no documentation.  

The owner tells us that this car runs out exceptionally well. The power assisted. four-wheel disc brakes are a factory-first for this type of car and all brake lines and fuel lines are stainless steel.

The private owner says that since he has owned the car it has never seen the rain!!!  Also. the car is absolutely rust free. The inner fenders are spotless.

3. 8 Liter Engine

Standard 4-speed transmission.

No overdrive.

It is the current owner's understanding that the car was originally dispatched from the Jaguar factory at Browns Lane England to Philadelphia. PA in October 1960. making it one of the last XK's to enter the USA.   The current owner has had this car since 1982.   

New York registration and current NY safety inspection are in private seller's name.

If you research these cars on the Internet you will find that factory specs calls for 250 h. p. and the beautiful double overhead cam can be wound up to 5500 rpms.   It pulls away in 4th gear at 20 miles an hour.   It has a top speed of somewhere between 110 – 120 mph. The 0-60 according to factory specs is under 8. 5 seconds.   All of Jaguar XK150s were known for their adequate road holding. braking and general controlability.  

It is not often that you see an Jaguar XK150 FHC especially in such attractive condition.
