For auction is my 1959 1500 MGA roadster.

It is an early Mark 1 with a 1500cc engine. Everything is original. It is an American import and comes with all necessary papers to register all import duties have been paid. I have converted it to a right hand drive as the build has progressed. You won't find an easier project with all the tedious bits already completed.

The chassis has been completely restored and powder coated. All suspension and brake parts have either been renewed or replaced. The front has disc brakes and the rear drum brakes. Rear axle has been rebuilt. New reconditioned shock absorbers to front. New floor boards throughout. Comes with a pair of new 6v period batteries.

The main brakes lines have been fitted but the fuel line and battery cables still need fitting. I have the original fuel. clutch and brakes lines which could be refitted or used as templates. The fuel tank has been reconditioned and has been fitted but is loose to help with removing the body.

The engine has been completely rebuilt and has is all coated with building lube to protect while rest of build is completed. I have fitted electronic ignition but this means that you will need to convert the car to 12v + very simply done. However the original points are included for the purists. Gearbox has been reconditioned. I have rebuilt one of the carbrettors and have parts to do other but not got around to it.

All welding has been done to the body. Body is on the chassis at moment but has not been permanently fixed. Body parts and doors have been mounted to adjust gaps and make sure everything fits. Now needs prepping for paint.

I have purchased a huge amount of new parts as the build has progressed to replace defective components. Apart from the trimming I am sure that all parts to complete are present. Parts that need replacing to my knowledge include the steering wheel. spoked wheels. Windscreen ( cracked it when fitting ). Original hood and frame is present but will need recovering.

Genuine reason for selling and would hope that someone could finish what I cannot.

Sure I have missed something but feel free to ask anything.
