For sale is my 1970 Plymouth Barracuda - a 340 Cuda tribute. This is a numbers matching car in its original lime green color- repainted a few years back and it is still with its original 318 motor which has been rebuilt. bored out and modified with Edelbrock intake. carb etc (see photo). It has a great lope to the cam and really moves. I have driven 340 cars and this one runs very strong with the modifications. It has always been in Southern California and is absolutely rust free and has extensive service and ownership history that comes with the car. I am the fourth documented owner. Original dealer purchase order and build sheet and a complete binder outlining everything that has been done to the car over many years. Paint is beautiful most everywhere on the car. but it does have a couple cracks on driver's side and a quarter-sized chip near the right rear corner of car. Hard to see in photos but wanted to point them out and they are not rust related but instead seem to be from age and possibly poor prep related to the repaint. Thousands has been invested to get this in Cuda form. including from grille. fog lights. hood decor. rear exhaust valance and nice dual exhaust. It has an upgraded 727 automatic. custom offset wheels that fit nicely on newer BF Goodrich tires with plenty of tread. New interior seats and carpets including an immaculate trunk. All trim is in chrome and window trim has been redone or replaced and is in "like new" condition. Glass is clear and all the gauges work. Car drives great. I drive this car at distance 100-200 mile weekend trips without any problems. NO overheating or smoking. AC car that works. although I have to re-charge it fairly regularly. The brakes are power disc. and it has power steering. both original to the car per the build sheet. This is an original blue plate California car which means it has always been cared for. registered and serviced to stay on the road. Very rare to see an old Mopar like this on the road with original blue plates. Car comes with an amazing set of service records and books. great history noting all owners through the years here in Southern California. It also has a powerful bluetooth stereo system and sub-woofer located in the trunk. It has a remote alarm system as well. and remote power locking doors. Great cruiser and lots of "thumbs up" responses on every drive. Title has JJ Best Banc on it so will need payment directly to them. Here are the things it needs: 1. Rattle in passenger side window regulator (common). 2. The aforementioned paint imperfections on driver's side and rear valance. 3. Steering column transmission linkage needs adjustment to ensure it has more positive location in park/drive etc. a little sloppy but completely operable. 4. Dash has an aftermarket cap that is closely matched to green interior. A 47 year old car so it is encouraged that you have it inspected but I have done everything to describe the Barracuda as accurately as possible. This is a used car. no warranty expressed. written or implied. I have insurance documentation on a $30. 00 valuation of this car in this condition. I wish I could keep this car but have to sell due to to job change and starting a new business. This is a turn-key 1970 Barracuda you can enjoy now. or use as a great platform for adding a crate motor and 4spd (which was what I was going to do). either way . not much to do so you can make into a show winner with just a few minor improvements. I would appreciate a local buyer in California. no international sales on this one please. Please email me with any questions.
