This listing is for my 1967 Camaro RS/SS convertible. This car has been in my family almost since new! My brother bought it back around 1969 from a friend who was a salesman at the local Chevrolet dealer in Delaware. I don't remember if he owned it or if it was his dealer company car. but when I first saw it I knew I had to have it – problem was. I was too young to drive at the time. Sometime around 1974. my brother needed money for his moto-cross hobby. I had my license. and we worked out a payment plan so the Camaro was finally mine. I've bought and sold many cars over the years since then. but never wanted to let this one go. I did sell it back to my brother back around 1983 when I was starting a family and he was looking for something to restore – there was one condition – that when he was done with it. I would get first crack at it before he sold it. He kept if for another 18 years where it led a quiet life in sunny Florida – I think he only put about 2000 miles on it in 18 years! He did however. have it stripped and repainted the original colors. replaced the engine. front seat covers and some other cosmetic things. before I got it back from him. When I brought it back to Penna sometime around 2001. I started driving it again but after a few years it started spending more and more time in my garage in storage and I've only had it out a couple times in the last year or so. so it's probably time to let someone else enjoy it.

It's an original 350. 4-speed car. with the RS and SS packages and power convertible top. We were always under the impression that it was an Indy pacecar replica. but neither one of us ever bothered to document it – I guess since I never intended to let it go. originality was not important to me – my loss. but it's been fun. I did make some inquiries a couple years ago and was told that it very well could be a genuine pacecar replica. apparently the VIN number is only a couple away from some documented cars.

As far as I know. the trans and rearend are both the originals. I think my brother had them rebuilt – not replaced. just the engine has been changed – the original engine ended up in the scrap heap back in the 70's. The 350 in the car now is a block casting # 3932388 – it was built back in 1991 and only has about 7K miles on it. so that gives you an idea of how little use this car has had recently.

The car was originally a mono-leaf rear spring setup. I did put a set of multi leaf springs on it with a couple leaves removed to lower it. and added air bags to give it a smoother ride that is much better than the old air shocks we used in the 70's. I still have the mono leaf springs if you want to go back to original – the spring perches were not changed. they are still the originals. I also managed to keep the original AM radio (it worked when removed but that was about 30 years ago). I still have the original exhaust manifolds. the convertible top boot. steering wheel. white shift knob. and some other trim and small parts to go with it. The headlight door motors were rebuilt probably 25 years ago and still work. a little slow and sometimes I need to tap on the relays. but they do work. The wheels are the original 14 inch rally wheels but I did paint them white and I think the center caps and trim rings were replaced years ago. I think the trunk mat and rear seat cover are still the originals. the front seats were re-covered 20 some years ago but are still in good shape. The car has been garage kept for at least the last 30 years. so it's held up well.

Right now. the car starts and runs great. The 350 has a mild cam. Edelbrock Torker  manifold and 1405 carb. HEI ignition. coated headers (showing their age) and a Flowmaster dual exhaust kit that exits under the car just behind the rear axle. The throwout bearing makes some noise. probably more from sitting rather than wear.

I'm having an issue right now with the carb. it seems like the electric choke is sticking and giving me some problems so I'm in the process of cleaning it and checking settings right now – if I can't get it sorted out easily. I might just put on a new carb and call it a day? Sitting doesn't do these things any good and I just don't get a chance to drive it enough anymore.

The odometer reads 21. 91 and has only turned over once. so the car actually has under 125. 00 miles on it total. The paint and top are about 25 years old and still look good. The top is slow going up or down but does still work. There are a couple spots around the rear wheelwells where it looks like there may be something going on under the paint. but once again it is 25 years old. There are also a few minor scratches/chips in the paint and a small spot that is lifted on the hood. This car has not been in any accidents. the sheet metal is original except for some rust repairs around the rear wheelwells. that my brother had done in Florida back around 1990.

Trim tag info reads:

              04A                                            R

ST         67-12667                    NOR106882                 BODY

TR          732-Z                                C-1                        PAINT

               WD 2LG 3SL

               4P -

I would consider this car a good driver rather than a show car. I guess it could be restored to show condition without too much trouble if that's your thing. I've just finally gotten to a point in my life that I don't have the time or motivation to really do anything with it anymore. and it spends most of the time parked on a lift in my garage. I will be sorry to see it go but hopefully someone else will give it a good home and get to use it more than I have lately.

I will not release the car until payment is cleared. I can accept a deposit thru Paypal. but the balance will need to be paid in cash or certified funds. and cleared before I let the car go. Reserve is reasonable but I won't disclose it - feel free to make offers though. Shipping is up to the buyer. but I will try to help any way I can. I also reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. I'm not interested in any trades unless you happen to have a really nice (done. no projects) 1970 - 1972 K5 Blazer / Jimmy along with some cash.

Thanks for Looking and good luck bidding.
