1972 Porsche 911T non sunroof coupe. This car was cleaned up and painted some 8 or so years ago and parked shortly after that in a beach house garage (covered) where it has sat 6 years. I purchased it with a buddy and the following work was done. Fuel tank removal and renew. complete tune up and changing of all fluids and filters. new engine compartment insulation. alves were adjusted. brakes and brake lines rebuilt. correct new batteries. new ignition and turn signal switches. and a thorough cleaning. It now starts. runs. shifts. stops and goes pretty decent along with looking pretty good. The pictures tell a lot and I will try to describe all the highs and lows. All numbers match and a copy of the COA is included with the car. The body and paint on this car were done to an OK standard. There are a few areas of over  spray and a few little marks and scratches but they are minimal. There is evidence (not terrible) of body work on the left hand door. The car really does look nice and receives lots of complements. The floors. rockers. wheel wells and trunk area are rust free and clean. There is surface rust on the inside of the left hand fender fuel door opening.   The original glass (except windshield ) and chrome trim are in remarkable condition and shine nicely. there is slight pitting on the horn grills and light scratches here and there on the door trim. The interior is original for the most part and in great shape given the age. There is a crack in the drivers seat left lumbar panel. (see pic) the carpets are faded here and there and the radio is out of the dash. The dash. guages and dash pad are nice as well as the door panels. The seat belts are there but will not retract. All gauges work except clock and overall the dash has a nice clean appearance. Headliner has a small hole (1/2") and a couple scratches but given the age looks great. The rear seats. rear trim and package shelf are clean and in good shape as well.   The car runs just OK the recent tune up helped  but it now needs to get dialed in by a Porsche tech  and fully checked out and our closest one is 225 miles away. The car starts a little hard but smooths out to idle nicely after a quick warm up. Pulls well at low end then hesitates  a little mid range then clears up. Compression though not checked feels real strong when backing off at downshifts .   It shifts through all gears with no synchro issues and goes into each gear as it should. The shifter bushings are worn but the shifting is still ok.   It stops well and goes straight down the road. It leaves a few drops of oil. appears to be in 3 or 4 locations. maybe oil return tubes??  I have taken several 25 or so mile drives and the car drives well and pulls nicely.   After 200 hundred miles or so oil gauge has not noticeably moved.   I do feel comfortable with the short  drives but would not recommend driving it very far until fully checked out by a Porsche tech. Items that are not working are clock. some dash lights. horn (new OEM relay included). iper washers. missing bottle washer cap. washer motor does spin when hot wired. There is a reprint owners manual but not many other docs except the COA. There is no tool wrap or tools but original jack and handle are . The door key is original the ignition key is not and these are the only keys. I'm trying to get some made but no promises.   A small box of misc. parts and  the old broken Blaupunkt cassette and amp will be included.

My reason for selling is I simply don't need anymore cars. I am a 15 plus  year PCA member but prefer newer series 911's so this one wil go to new home. I have put a reserve number based on a strong number 3 condition car using internet valuation information. Check my feedback and know that I will respond to your e-mails and try hard for accurate descriptions.   I welcome any inspections and for the most part am available with reasonable notice.   I will assist the buyers transport company any way I can and the car is located for pick up at a transporter friendly location.   Clear title is in hand.   A one thousand dollar non-refundable deposit will be due 48 hours after auction end via pay pal preferably and the balance to be paid within 5 days.   If you're new to e-bay with less than 5 feedback please e-mail me with your intentions first before bidding.   Thanks for viewing my auction and good luck.
