Only 3. 00 of these cars were built. and records indicate that less than 1500 exist in drivable condition. This is truly a rare opportunity. According to records. this car was #1471 to roll off the assembly line in Dearborn. Michigan. The car is one of 209 built with its specific color scheme. White with Crushed Grain Bridge of Weir leather. deep Gray biscuits. White bolsters. and Deep Gray welts. It stands out among that exclusive group due to its factory air conditioning and its Golden Sabre wheels and trim.

 

In the early 1990s. our car was put on display at the Mt. Dora Museum of Speed. In 2004. it was purchased from the museum by a local collector. who then invested thousands into the drivetrain. air conditioning. and other systems to make the car roadworthy. The collector then stored the car in a climate-controlled garage when it wasn’t being driven to and from events.

 

The car now has just over 54. 70 documented miles. While in our possession. it got all new front brakes. The wonderful 285hp 368 cubic inch V8 and “Turbo-Drive” automatic transmission combination runs smoothly and effortlessly. The standard power steering. brakes. windows. and seat are all functional. A modernized radio provides sound so you can truly enjoy this classic any day of the year.

 

The Continental Mark II is revered as one of the greatest American automobile styling efforts of the post-war period.
