1960 old school beetle

Due to a major building project my car is up for sale. I have put this up for sale as a last resort really don't want to do this but needs must.

This is a 1960 one year only vw beetle deluxe which is unwelded import from Sweden.

Its been built to a very high standard is the style of old school callook !

Bodywise

Paint is L440 flint grey which is a 1960 colour only. og 1960 steel wings. og 4 tab bonnet. og bumpers with overriders  og snowflakes. s/s side trims. og indicators og glass but its had a new windscreen fitted as per modern day specs.

Paintwork is not perfect as it has a few micro blisters on the bonnet and front wings.

Being an unwelded car on og pans etc the gaps are perfect and doors shut as they should.

Interior

Seats have been retrimmed with tmi covers in water blue colour which is a 1960 colour only.

Seat frames were restored also.

Simpson lap belts

Newton commercial carpets in grey and s/s sill covers.

Og radio and og Swedish tax disc.

Gene berg locking shifter and line lock switch. Autometer oil pressure and oil temp gauges. Monster tach and alloy billet tach mount.

Og 1960 only steering wheel which has been restored  as well as the og speedo. ( one picture has a nardi wheel on it which I will keep for now)

Running gear.

Wheels are JGB gas burners 5/130 Porsche pattern with og 3 prong Porsche caps

Tyres are 145/15 nos Michelin xzx fronts and 205/70 goodyear eagles rear.

CB 2" narrowed adjustable beam and anti rollbar

Cb dropped spindles

KYB shocks and s/s brake hoses.

Rear camber compensator

Brakes are NEAL vented discs front and rear which are Porsche 5/130

NEAL handbrake calipers and biast brake splitter valve.

Hurst line lock

Gearbox is a BEARS pro street

4. 125 r&p. super diff. d side covers . 302 main shaft and tig welded gears.

Heavy duty axles. gene berg mid mount  . ene berg traction bar and rhino mounts

Engine

This is a 2110cc stroker motor which has been rebuilt by daz chandler at aircooled performance

JMR alloy case which has been drill for full flow and  clearance for 84mm crank.

Cb 044 round pots. 42mm x 37. 5 dual vale springs and s/s springs

weber 44 idfs with a speedshop bell crank linkage

FX10 cam . jaycee oil filter mount with by- pass hose and a gene berg breather tower

Brand new alternator coversion and a speedshop billet bottom pulley

Exhaust is a A1 1 5/8 Renn Kafer muffler and header

MSD 6al unit which is mounted under the rear seat. MSD blaster coil. MSD billet dizzy and leads.

The motor has done 100 miles since its rebuild and runs spot on

This car is fantastic to drive . stops fantastic and the stance is spot on. /p>

There is a lot of money gone into the car and I will be sorry if it goes!

All the mods on this are bolt on so could be returned back to stock if needed!
